Arriving At Bengkulu

It is Thursday. The Yellow Thursday (Respati Palguna 15). At 01.00 we stopped by at Masjid Imaduddin in Way Kerap - Semaka, Regency of Tanggamus for praying and getting a rest. The masjid is old but maintained well. Clean water was available a lot. There were many passerbys sleeping on the verandah floor.

We then continued going passing the Bukit Barisan National Park. It was foresty mountain. We uphilled then downhilled. Later, we exited the park and traced national road alongside the beach. At 04:00 at PFU 23-34509 in Pasar Krui Pesisir Tengah, Regency of Pesisir Barat we stopped by for having a rest and paying our prayer. The unit occupied a square of land about 1 hectare. It was clean and providing excessive clean water. I, Niko, and Juli had cups of coffee in a kiosk in front of the PFU.

At 6:32 we stopped by again at PFU 24-348.143 in Panengahan - Lemong, Regency of Pesisir Barat. Niko was just to enter the toilet.

At 7:27 we stopped by at Lemong Public Health Center (Puskesmas) in Lemong - Lemong, Pesisir Barat Regency. I needed its toilet for defecating.

At 08:40 we checked in at Jejen food vendor, a very simple resto in Suka Menanti - Maje, Regency of Kaur, for having breakfast. The vendor was exactly in front of PFU (SPBU 24-389.36)

At 10:58 the car stopped by at Masjid Nurul Yakin where Juli got urinating.

At 12:10 we stopped by at Sangkuriang kiosk in Padanperi - Semidang Alas Maras, Seluma Regency where we had our lunch. They provide simple dishes but we were satisfactory.

At 15:00 we arrived at Hotel Tanjungkarang on Jalan Sutoyo, town of Bengkulu. We checked in. I and Mahardi shared room 207 while Niko an Juli were in room 209. The hotel was fair in appearance. My room was nice although narrow.

At 18:50 we (I, Mahaardi, and NIko) left the hotel to Inga Raya Resto on Jalan Bencoolen to dine. It was out of duty so we changed to Sembam Ikan Marola Resto on Jalan Pariwisata. We arrived there at about 19:30.

Widayadi was there as we always in touch during an hour. We met after 51 years separated. Widayadi was my secondary schoolmate. He moved to Bangkulu to follow his fate. He is now a public servant retired.

A moment later Mr. Armin K. Martono and his subordinares came to join. He is the Executive GM of Fatmawati Airport of Bangkulu. Mahardi and him then we involved in a discussion. When the dishes served, we had dinner on separated table.

I ordered a special dish named tempoyak udang. It was a dish of shrimps cooked with fermented durian. It was tasty though had terrible smell.

When we about to dismiss heavy rain dropped. We waited in the resto for about 30 minutes. After it stopped we dismissed. We in 3 went back to the hotel.
