World Water Day

It is Wednesday. The Loving Wednesday (Buda Kasih 15). At 05:30 we had breakfast in the dining room. The menu consisted of rice, fried noodle, sprout - tofu - long bean stir fry, red chili pepper sauced egg, and meat ball soup. At 06:20 we checked out and went to Pollos Hotel where Masrianto was in. He came in the mid night. Many people and retired from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing were there overnight. Some of them were Mr. Amron and Mr. Mazid. They offered us breakfast but we were all full. This hotel provided a better buffet breakfast than Kencana Hotel did. About 07:00 we left the hotel and went to Randugunting Dam before the other left the hotel. Masrianto was joining us.

I thought we took the unappropriate route so our speed was limited. We traced the regency roads passing these place: Waru, Randuagung, Sekarsari, Krikilan, Ronggomulyo, and Kalinanas. The dam located in Kalinanas, Subregency of Japah, Blora. In a plaza located south east of the dam site the World Water Day 30th Anniversary would be managed.

We arrived at about 08:00. At the time many people were gathering mostly people from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. The others were invitees from some organization such as Government of Blora Regency, Government of Central Java Province, local village government, authorities of police and army, reforestration non government organization, and last but not least us from the Public Works Retired Organization. We were all served with a snack box and a lunch box. The committee also provided a picture booth where an invitee might get his picture on the site for free.

The anniversary was started by a report from the committee chair, Asep Arovah Permana. Then, an agreement about greenbelt nursing between Pemali Juana River Basin Management Office (BBWS Pemali Juana), Central Java Public Works Retired Union (IPPU Wilayah Jawa Tengah). and Randugunting Greenbelt Nursing Organization was signed by Adek Rizaldi, Masrianto, and Jumiran. The following time was for Vice Bupati Blora Tri Yuli Setyowati gave her speech and Chief of Provincial Water Resources and Spatial Planning Authority, Eko Yunianto, read Central Java Governor speech. Later, awarding honors to a division or a section of water resources management offices from Aceh and North Sumatra for their best performances on the running of TKPSDA (water resources management coordiantion panel) secretariats. Finally, John Wempi Wetipo the Vice Minister of Public Works and Housing gave speech for the 30th Anniversary of World Water Day. The theme of the anniversary was Groundwater, making the invisible visible.

During the event I made pictures of the surroundings. It seemed that the site was prepared also for tourism . There were many spots to see and the management office built a viewing plateform, a bridge like plaza where people might take some spot pictures. The stunning spots were dam site, water, dam sign, and walking tracks.

After the event was over, we were still in the venue. Masrianto, Djoko Roosmany, and Djoko Parmanto made their pictures on spot. At about 12:00 we left the venue. We passed through this place to get to Juwana: Ronggo, Srikaton, Dukuhmulyo, and Warung Sederhana Bu Marni where we had our lunch. At 13:45 we stopped by at Masjid Baitun Nur, Pati for paying our prayers. At 15:15 we stopped by again at Pusat Jenang Mubarok, Kudus for shopping souvernir snacks. Masrianto by us those snacks.
