Reunion

It was Saturday. Today I went to Purwokerto to join a reunion. It was a reunion of former students of the Christian Elementary School. I had been a student of the school between 1962 and 1964. In the morning at 05:00 Rahutama dropped me at the Poncol Station. At 05:15 the economic class Kamandaka Coaches departed for Purwokerto. The trip was flowing so at 09:23 the coaches arrived at the Purwokerto Station. It was 1 minutes late.

Edi Siswanto, my old time classmate, fetched me. He accompanied me to come to his house and to have breakfast at a kiosk in Patikraja. We then went to a resto in Purwokerto to meet Wie Cong and Sianni. We moved to a cafe to meet Wityas. Finally, we went to Baturaden, Nirwana Resort where the reunion would take place.

Many participants had arrived at the resort. I enlisted my name in the participants list. I got an umbrella, a tee shirt, and a guide book. I checked in the cottage #16. I shared the room with Slamet Priyanto. He told me that when he was a kid, he one day fought with me on the front yard of the Sin Hua She building. I remembered the accedent. I was so thankful to meet him.

The reunion started in the evening. It was full with talking, singing, dancing, and eating. Although I was like a stranger the participants welcomed warmly. I left the Christian Elementary School Purwokerto when I was in the third class in 1964. Usually the participants did not remember my presence in that time. The reunion stopped at 23:00.
