Going to Bitung

It was Tuesday. We got breakfast in the hotel. The provided good dishes. I consumed varieties of fruits, vegetable salad, omelette, coffee, and tinotuan porridge. The porridge is a local (Minahasa) traditional food. It was my first time to taste it in the original place. It was good.

At 09:00 a car fetched us. The driver was Fernando. We checked out of the hotel and went to a point in the National road of Menado - Bitung to meet Djatmiko, our surveying officer. It was the location designated as the underpass of the planned toll road of Menado Bitung. After meeting him we started to survey along the road from K-14 (kilometer stone 14) of the tool road to the end (entrance of the Bitung Harbour Container Terminal. Our survey was about to design the drainage system of the toll road.

Because we were lack of maps and the alignment was not clear enough we only identify the cross drain along the national road. We know that the toll road was parallel to the national one. The survey run flowing so at 13:00 local time we reached the end. We then had lunch at a padangese styled resto.

On the way back we traced a local road that parallel to the national one. At 16:00 we checked in the Miracle Hotel, a budget hotel. In the evening we had lunch in a fish resto nearby.
