Makan Samba Banyak

It was Saturday. In the morning the folks were gathering in Ngarai Sianok. They tracked the canyon and the wall. I and Nuri separated from them. We went to Aur Kuning Market to buy mukena (cloth for praying). To achieve the place we used public transport, it costed Rp2.500 per person. At 10:00 we went back to the hotel to change our costume.

At 13:00 we went to Budi's big family house at Nagari (village) of Kotogadang to joined lunch session named makan samba banyak (lunch with many dishes). Actually, the house belong to Rangkayo Rusmini Salim. Budi was the samando, the son in law of the family. We were again served with varieties of Minangkabau dishes. The special dish was itiak lado hijau (duck in green chilli pepper sauce).

In the afternoon we were dropped at Pasar Ateh Bukittinggi for free session. Some of us were shopping and the other were sight seeing.

In the evening we gathered at the hotel pool side to have barbeque dinner. A light showering made us disappointed. A bingo game was managed at the end.
