It was Tuesday. It was a formal holiday to celebrate the Waisak Day. It is the birthday, the awakening day, and the death of Buddha. We still continued our trip. Today we went to the Bromo volcano area.
We left the hotel at 09:00 after having nice breakfast. Our first destination was the Suramadu Bridge, a bridge connecting roads in Java and Madura islands. We were welcomed by the officers at the Bridge Monitoring Office. A lady from the Fifth National Road Management Office escorted us. She gave us information about the construction and operation of the bridge. She provided good lunch for us. She also was with us to get a best point to make pictures of the bridge. At about 13:00 we left the office for Bromo
We stopped by at the Kebonpring resto in Pasuruan by maghrib time. Good dishes were provided for our dinner. A musalah was available in the resto to enable us paying our prayer. At about 19:00 we continued our trip.
The traffic to Bromo was flowing. The road was steeping up. Many curves were encountered. Our car (minibus #8) was moving without trouble. At about 21:00 we arrived at the Bromo Cottages. The other 7 cars (car #1 to car #7) also arrived athe place safely. I and Nuri got room #211 for overnight.
