Eid ul Fitr

It is a festival of Muslim fast breaking. This day Shawwal 1, 1430 Hijriah, we as muslims festived the Eid ul Fitr. In the festival I, Anindya and Rahutama did congregational prayer in At Taqwa Mosque at 06.00. Nuri was still at home because she was in a condition not allowed to pray. We then had our breakfast at home. The breakfast was banana leaf wrapped rice (lontong) and chicken javanese curry (opor). We, in four, came to our neighbors to pay our greetings. The greetings were also for Brumbungan relatives (Mbak Yet and Yu Ti), Mbak Poppy and Mas Andi. In the afternoon we were in Salaman to pay our respects to Bulik War and Lik Santo.

This day we woke up at about the dawn. After doing dawn prayer we prepared for eid prayer. I drank plain water. As recommended by religion taking some food or drink before praying is good. I and Nuri went to Brumbungan while Anindya and Rahutama to other places. After mid day prayer we in four went to Salaman. We stopped by a food stand in Soropadan that served megono rice, a rice which is prepared at same time and place with the vegetable. We came to a cemetery where my mother, father, grand parents have been buried. At about 16.30 we arrived Salaman, my childhood home. After social meeting with Lik War, Lik Santo and Peni we went home. We had dinner at Teras Restaurant in Magelang. We stopped by SPBU Srondol to get fuel. About 24.00 we arrived home.
