Visiting Batam

The handset rang to wake me up at 03.15. I did final preparation for Batam. Rahutama took me to the airport. I and some colleagues left for Batam at 07.30 in flight GA233 (SRG-CGK scheduled 07.35-08.35). We had 2 hour transit in Sukarno Hatta Airport. With a delay of 30 minutes we continued to fly to Batam using GA152 (CGK-BTH scheduled 11.05-12.35). We landed at Hand Nadim Airport, Batam at 13.00. Mr Harry Roekanto drived us (me, Agus Purwadi and Tuti) to Hotel Panorama Regency. We checked our attending in to the committee. I and Agus Purwadi had room 720 to stay. After a rest for a while I and Agus Purwadi went to Yongkee Restaurant to have fish soup and coffee. The restaurant is one of Batam points of interest.

The purpose of going to Batam is to attend a workshop. The workshop is designated to compose an Annual Work Plan (AWP) 2010 worksheet. Agencies of local and provincial governments partisipate to Water Resourced and Irrigation Sector Management Project (WISMP) are invited here. Although I have no plan 2010 I am invited. I came to support the others.

Today I met 3 old friends. I met Wiwin Kwintadi and Sumihar Simamora in the boarding room F4 Sukarno Hatta airport. I also met Adi Saptono the hotel. In the evening the committee provided a dinner. I only ate few because Mr Harry Roekanto would accompany me up to to have a dinner out of the hotel. He and his wife picked me and Agus Purwadi up to a restaurant. We had chatting while eating. The restaurant was serving us fishead sapo, steamed gonggong, garlic flavored fried chicken and stirred fry kelatak. They all are delicious dishes. We had a good time.
