We then went to a workshop owned by Bambang the mechanic in Brumbungan area. We got the advice how to fix our car clutch. Before leaving Brumbungan we brought some fritters from Prasaja kiosk.

Going to Surakarta

It is Tuesday. The Yellow Tuesday (Selasa Pon 10). At 5:50 Nuri dropped me at the parking yard of Public Works Polytechnics campus, Tembalang. I would join a tour to Surakarta and the campus was the gathering point.

More than a half hour I was there waiting for the other participants arriving. I used the time to talk with the arrived one. A small bus was available there. The tour operator, Pandawa 86 gave Kasih and Juni for the guides. Masrianto and wife came the last. At 6:40 we depart from the gathering point. The participants were 28 people, beside me they were Masrianto & Patriasari, Harsono Wuryanto & Surti Afriliyeni Firdaus, Arus Horizon & Titik Rosalina, Agus Supriyanto & Indriastuti Wuryani, Mustofa Kamal & Alia, Bambang Pudjo Lahatyo n Sularwati, Subagiyo Lukito & Pintartiati, Muhammad Mazid & Murtini, Santoso & Nani Nurhaeni, Zaenal Achmad Djohan & Kusumaningdyah, Suharsono, Mulyono Supardi, Wismaningsih, Nani Suhartini, Sri Rahayu Widyastuti, Indarwati, Wiwik S.

At 8:00 we arrived at the first object, Panorama Waterpark, in Nepen Teras, Boyolali Regency. The object occupies a creek formed by a spring. The area was about 2Ha. Several huts were built to be used as restaurants. In a restorant we may order foods and beverages. Our legs can be immersed into the water underneath where many small fishes will bite our decayed skin. We did not do that. We served with chicken soup, hot tea, and frites. We also were visited by Tedjo Sularto, an IPPU member living in the area. At about 10:00 we left the object. At 10:15 we stopped by at a point near Tedjo's house in Bendan Banyudono, Boyolali Regency. Tedjo gave us some packs of water guava.

At 11:15 we arrived at Pasar Gede (Main Market) on Jalan Oerip Soemohardjo, Surakarta Town. It was an icon of Surakarta Town offering mainly various food commodities, such as snacks and traditional beverages. I bought ginger palm suger. I found Masrianto, Harsono, along with their wives taste dawet, a Javanese traditional cocktail. I finally drank americano in Agus Coffee House. At 12:30 we left the object.

At 12:50 we arrived at Karonsih Resto on Jalan Soepomo where we were served with luch and a time to pay prayer. The resto provided some dishes to be tasted. It was a modest lunch but we were satisfied.

At 14:30 we arrived at Solo Safari in Jebres Jebres, Surakarta. It is a new built zoo with some collections. We enjoyed walking since it was good designed for walking. Many big and high trees were conserved so we were still sheltered along the way. At 17:00 we left the zoo. Because we still had time we went to a snack shop named Minijaya in Ngringo Jaten, Karanganyar Regency. Some of us got off for shopping but I was still on board.

At 17:45 we arrived at a parking yard on Jalan DI Panjaitan close to Masjid Besar Sheikh Zayed. I walked 400m to the masjid. Some of us used ojek bikes. The cost was Rp5.000. The masjid was big, beautiful, and comfortable. We paid our maghrib and isha prayers there. Before leaving we made some pictures of us. I used an ojek bike to get the parking yard.

At about 19:30 we arrived at Anak Pantai Resto on Jalan Adi Soemarmo in Gedongan Colomadu, Karanganyar Regency where we were served with dinner. Again, a modest dinner made us full.

At 22:10 we arrived at the parking yard of Public Works Polytechnics. We dismissed after sent our gratitude to the tour operator. About 20minute later Nuri came to pick me up.

We then went to Tawang Station to pick up Yayuk (Asri Wahyuningrum) and Lily (Amaril Iswardani). They were Nuri's colleagues during their study in University of Jember.
