Being at Home

It is Tuesday. I am still at home. In the morning I slept again after praying. At 06:45 I got up again to wash my clothes. They were piled in the bucket. I separated them into 3 groups: white, color, and dark. They washing machine was almost full for each group. Fortunately, the day was supporting. It was clear and the sun was shinny. Going back to Semarang

It is Monday. It was the last day I was in Lombok. There were several members of the group still in the hotel such as Julison and wife, Djoko and wife, Yunekky and wife, Utayanto and wife, and Zaenal and wife. Ramoni and his wife was heard to be still in Lombok but they moved to Hotel Santika, Mataram.

At about 10:00 I, Nuri, Zaenal, and his wife checked out after a car from Esti picked us up. They driver was Wahyu. We went to the Lombok International Airport of Praya (LOP). Because we still had spaceous time we stopped at several points. First we stopped at the Bunga Pearl Shop to buy a piece. Nuri bought it for Anindya. Then, we stopped an etnic snack shop (Koi Mas Shop on Jalan Adi Sutjipto) to buy some for gift. We stopped again at an handicraft shop (Ketek Artshop on Jalan Adisutjipto) to see its stuff. There were a television station shooting the situation. The next stop was at a handicraft market (Pasar Seni Sayang Sayang) then at a satay house (Warung Sate Rembiga Ibu Sinnaseh on Jalan Wahidin) and a tofu shop named Toko Tahu 151A on Jalan Prabu Rangkasari. Before arriving at the airport we had lunch at the Rinjani Resto on Jalan Bypass Bandara. We tried the local food named nasi puyung. At about 13:45 we arrived at the Lombok International Airport (LOP).

After repacking of our stuff we checked in. Actually we just checked in our baggages and took boarding pass because we had checked in electronically from the hotel. We got seat number 28H and 28K while Zaenal and wife were on 28A and 28B. The boarding time was 14:25 local time (Central Indonesia Time). Our fligth was GA365 scheduled to depart at 14:45. In the waiting room we met Utayanto and his wife.

The fligth seemed on time. Our Garuda Bombardier CJ1000 landed at the Juanda International Airport of Sidoarjo (SUB) about 14:50 local time (Western Indonesia Time). About an hour we were in the aircraft to wait for the Surabaya passangers' unboarding and boarding and also to refuel the aircraft. The wheater was about fair, although cloudy and wet in the ground the sight distance was still far.

The flight was scheduled to arrive at 16:35 and we landed at about on time. At 17:10 we arrived at home. Dastan was not in. He was in his grandparents' house in Erlangga. Lanjutannya...

Last Day of the Gathering

It is Sunday. It is the last day of the gathering. In the morning we felt more relaxed. We the group, had chatting while had breakfast. At 10:45 we were on bus leaving the hotel to undergo the last day. Those who would be going back to their hometown brought their baggages with them. I and Nuri left them in the hotel because we would extend our stay.

The bus stopped at the Taliwang Irama Resto 3 where we had lunch. They served us with their speciality, Taliwang Chicken. They also served bones soup, fried tahu and tempe, water spinach with hot chilli dressing, fried fish, vegetables in hot coconut grating. and young coconut desert. At 12:00 the group left the resto for Sukarate Village to see the traditional tenun craft. I and Nuri left behind to wait for Esti.

Esti and Dede picked up us at about 13:00. We then went to their house. It was my second time to go there but the first time for Nuri. We talked about our experiences, we also underwent dhuhur and ashr prayers. At 15:30 we went out to explore the town of Mataram. Tika and Tari were along with us. We came to the durian market in Karangbayan Narmada. We traced narrow roads leading there. Occasionally, we met processions of groom and bride. They made our trip slower. Before sanset we stopped at the Batulayar area where we wanted to take picture of sunset. Unfortunately, the sunset was covered by cloud. We missed it.

We went back to Mataram. We stopped by a pearl shop named Bunga Pearl Shop where Nuri bought pearl for her. The shop owner was Dede's niece named Nana.

We stopped at the Lombok Seafood Resto at Rembige area where we would have dinner. The owner was Dede's colleague. There were about 6 dishes that made us full. The dishes were delicious because there were various spicy.

Going to Gili Trawangan

It is Saturday. We wore the second uniform, an orange t-shirts. We would go to Gili (Island) Trawangan. After having breakfast we went to the point for departure by 3 buses. The point was Medana Tanjung. Three wood boats brought us to Gili Trawangan. We passed by 2 islands named Gili Air and Gili Menu. When we were close to those islands the boat was made slowly to enable us watching the fishes and coral beneath. Unfortunately, the coral was ruined so the fishes disappeared.

More than 1 hours were on boat and finally, we reached Gili Trawangan. The sun was bright and we felt hot encourage us to hide in the Vila Ombak. Some of us made their pictures on the beach but they did not there for along time. Lunch was served at the Vila Ombak at 12:00. At 14:00 we went back to the hotel.

In the evening the organizer performed the Siantuma Night at the beach. A stage was erected for a band showed the performance. The night was opened with dinner. As usual we were satisfactorily having delicious dishes and fruits. A speach was delivered by Julison. He recalled our gatherings year by year. Some prizes were awarded to group members that were considered special. I got the doorprize that withdrawn by Samuel Choky. It was a voucher to stay 2 nights in a suit room of the Aruna Hotel. Then the dances were performed. There were 3 dances: Tari Kembang Sembah from Lombok, Tari Puspawresti from Bali, and Tari Gandrung from Lombok. At the , I and Permadi were asked by the dancers to dance on the floor.

Wearing Traditional Costumes

It is Friday. It is the day 2 we are in Lombok. After dawn praying and showering I and Nuri went to the meeting room to dress up. Dressing experts put Sasak Traditional Costumes on us. The costumes was similar to those of Bali. Two pieces of fabrics on the bottom and closed with suit jacket on the top. A hat then put on the head.

At about 09:00 after having breakfast the group went to the Mayura Garden in 3 buses. The garden is still beautiful was built by the Karangasem Kingdom in the 19th century. A dance named Tari Gendang Belek welcomed us. After having photographing session on the gazebo on the center of the pond we went to a hall to continue watching the dance. The organizer also provided 2 more dances named Tari Perisaian and Tari. I like the 3 dances, they are awesome. I am so grateful.

In dhuhur time we joined the Friday prayer in a masjid close to Narmada Garden. The masjid was nice and clean. The session started at 12:15 local time. After praying we gathered in the Narmada Garden. We had sate bulayak for our lunch. Satay bulayak consists of chicken or beef satay and bulayak. Bulayak is a kind of rice, cooked in the coconut leaf. The organizer was also served us with mangosteen, zalacca, and durian. At the end we were served with young coconut tree.

In the afternoon we gathered on the beach to joined games named Olimpik Gems. It was just kid games for ice breaking and fun. We were separated into 4 groups: red, yellow, blue, and green groups. I and Nuri were in the green group.

In the evening we gathered in the ballroom to have dinner. The organizer provided good dishes made us satisfied. A band was also involved to entertain us. We participated in singing and dancing that made us happy. Before dismissing we played an Indonesia styled domino named gaple. Eight pairs joined the play. Going to Lombok

It is Thursday. I and Nuri went to Lombok to joined the yearly gathering of ITB Civil Engineering Alumni Class 1975. Rahutama dropped us at the airport at 09:15. Pranoto was there to pass lunpia to me. He aborted to join the gathering because his wife was suddenly ill. He preferred being with her to going to Lombok, of course. So, our companions were only Zaenal and his wife.

We flew Bombardier BJ1000 of Garuda Indonesia flight ✈ GA364. It was scheduled to depart at 10:15 from Ahmad Yani Airport of Semarang SRG and arrived at 14:15 local time at the Lombok International Airport of Praya LOP. We were on seat 39K and 39J while Zaenal and wife were on 39A and 39B. I and Zaenal got off at the Juanda Airport of Sidoarjo SUB when we had transit. At this airport Wiwin joined us. The flight was relatively on time. At 14.15 the plane landed at LOP.

The organizer provided us a minibus. It brought me to join the group at the Kuta Beach. On the way there we had our lunch. The organizer provided meals on boxes for our lunch.

We joined the group in the session on the beach. We made some pictures of us. About 30 minutes we were there, then, we went to the hotel. It took time about 90 minutes.

We arrived at our hotel, the Aruna Hotel, at about 17:00. We checked in and got room 323. The hotel and the hotel room were nice.

Preparing for Going

It is Wednesday. In the morning I joined qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 13 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, dan sanxin zhuang.

This day I preparing myself for going to Lombok Island to join the ITB Civil Engineering Class 1975 annual reunion. The first preparation was to trim my hairs because they looked disorder. In the afternoon at about ashar time Nuri dropped me at the Cak Rus Barber kiosk. He was not in waiting so I was directly served. After finishing Nuri picked up me home. On the way I paid off the Indonet January invoice.

The second preparation was to pack my clothes. It meaned that I had to scrutinize the itinerary, to enumerate the clothes, and to put them in the suitcase. I concluded in the evening.

Nuri also prepared her stuff because she would be along with me. She went out to shop items she needed. She finished her work in the evening.

This evening it was heavy raining. I worried about the water from 'chimney' space would overflow to the basement. In the raining time Anindya arrived at home. It was earlier than usual. She did not pick up Dastan from his grandparents. Then, Rahutama showed up. He wanted to bring several stuffs of him to Jogja tomorrow. Lanjutannya...

Monthly Gathering

It is Tuesday. In the morning I joined qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 10 people. We practiced chenqi, pengqi guanding, and slow pengqi guanding.

At 11:00 I accompanied Nuri attending the monthly ex WSP employees' wives. The other participants were Yatin, Bharoto, Tarsono, and Supriyanto along with their wives. The hostess was Mrs. Widodo. It is Sunday. I made a morning walk along the perimeter of the West Flood Canal. The track seemed clean. I left the house at 05:30 and the reached the house again at 06:15. On Jalan Basudewo some roller skating runners passed by. They were in several groups accompanied by their escorts motorcycling.

The day seemed promising so I washed my clothes. It was true, the sun was almost fully shinny. At 11:00 almost all of my clothes were dried. I then continued with ironing. It was exhausting day but I was happy.

In the evening Mrs. Djoni came by to pass cuime for Anindya and Dastan. It was not as usual, Dastan was not eager to be with her. He scared for being held in a barbershop to trim his hair. Lanjutannya...

Concluding the Work

It is Saturday. In the morning I made morning walking tracing the perimeter of the West Flood Canal. It was at 05:30 and the walkway had been crowded. I rounded my walking in about 50 minutes.

At 08:30 I went to the Lab to join Edhisono, Saktyo, and Reza to do recalculate and redraw the Manado Bitung crossdrains. According to the minutes of meeting the drainage structures had to comply with those mentioned in the proposal list. Saktyo and Reza did the best so at 12:00 the work was done. After checking and sending it to the Jakarta team, we dismissed.

In the evening I, Nuri, Anindya, Dastan, Ailin, and Bibik went to Mas Met Soto booth on Jalan Indraprasta for having dinner. Actually, in the planning we would go to the Mi Istana but on the way we changed our plan. After being there we went to Nagatomi shop and Merbabu bookstore. Going to Jakarta

It is Friday. In the morning after dawn praying I went to the airport. Nuri dropped me there. I joined Edhisono to go to Jakarta. We flew Airbus A320 of the Batik Air flight ID6339 departed at 06:00. I was the seat #20B. It was on time. At 07:15 we were in a Grab taxi leading to the office on Jalan Bina Marga. The fare was Rp135.000. At 08:30 we arrived at the office.

We joined a meeting clarifying the progress of the hydrology and drainage section. Mr. Lilik was chairing the meeting. Edhisono presented the progress. The audience consisted of the President Director of the toll road company, the accompanying Technical Director and other members of the consultant. The meeting concluded at 11:30 achieving few points, such as:(1) the drainage structures should comply those listed on the BoQ, and (2) the relating update should deliver on Sunday afternoon.

At 12:00 I joined the Friday prayer in a masjid nearby. The preacher seemed to be a hardliner Muslim. He implied a Muslim should elect Islam faithed leaders. I did not scrutinize the rest because I thought it was useless.

After praying we had lunch in a Sundanese resto. Then, we went to the Balikpapan Samarinda toll road consultant office at another building on the same street. I delivered Pranoto's papers to Mr. Priyo. We had brief discussion about the papers. I also found Benny in the office. He was also involved in the discussion

At 14:45 we went to the Soetta Airport. We used a Grab taxi again. The fare was Rp129.000. At 16:00 we arrived at the Terminal 3 Ultimate. We directly checked in. I got seat #29J. At 17:50 the Boeing 737-800 Garuda flight GA244 took of for Semarang. At 18:45 we landed at the Ahmad Yani Airport of Semarang. Nuri accompanied by Dastan picked me up home. It is Thursday. At 10:00 I and Nuri went to the Lab. After dropping me there she continued to go to the Simsix Resto to join monthly ITB alumni wives gathering.

Elections for Regions Government Heads

It is Wednesday. It was a public holiday due to encourage people giving their votes to elect their government heads. There are 7 provinces, 18 towns, and 76 regencies conducting the election. However, the Jakarta Governor election is the most exciting one. The political parties pride is bet there. There are 3 contestants and one of them was the incumbent, the couple of Basuki and Djarot. In the survey count they got 43% of votes.

In the morning I joined qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 9 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin zhuang.

Before dhuhur time I and Nuri went to the Melawai Optical in the Citra Mall to take my new glasses. Its price was Rp8.300.000. It is nice looking and comfortable. It is worth.

Siswanto Coming

It is Monday. In the morning I went to the Poncol Station to fetch Siswanto. He was in the Tawang Jaya Coaches scheduled to arrive at 06:00. The train was late 30 minutes. As his request I dropped him to the Serrata Hotel to join his colleagues.

At arriving at home I washed my clothes. The weather forecast said that today would be cloudy and rainy. However, I still do it because my clothes stock was running out. As a matter of fact the day was encouraging, the sun was shinny for a while, and adequate to dry the clothes. After dhuhur time I ironed them.

Being at Home

It was Sunday. The day was almost rainful. There were 2 spots in the time sunshiny but the rest was rainy. So, I was still at home.

Gathering

It was Saturday. The Red-9 Saturday-9 (Sabtu Pahing 18). In the whole day it was rainy. Bibik washed Ailin and Dastan clothes but she did not find sun ray for drying them. The day was relatively cold but humid.

At 06:00 I and Nuri went to the Wujil Resort in Ungaran area to join qigong gathering. It was to celebrate Cap Go Meh (the Indonesian name for Yuan Xiao Jie 元宵节), the night 15th of the first month in the Chinese calender. It is also popular as the Lantern 🏮 Festival. The festival ends the new Chinese year celebration. There were about 20 people gathered at a banquet in the dining hall. We had a cap go meh dinner. A dish named lontong cap go meh was served. Lontong is a kind of rice, steamed in banana leaf wrap. It served with a Javanese style chicken curry named opor. After having socializing for a while we moved to another room for practicing qigong.

About 15 people joined to practice qigong, such as Tan Tjietheng (陈志定), Liauw Moylin (Melani 廖梅兰), Liauw Sioeling 廖秀玲, Meixia 胡美霞, Andreas Andhy Widjaja, Hwayung 华永, Ci-kwan (机关), Alawi, and Maria (Lim Tian Bwee 林展梅). We practiced chenqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin zhuang. About 90 minutes we spent time. I thought the practice was seemed lighter than that as usual we have in the temple hall. The laoshi explained that because of our qi had accumulated due to our gathering. After concluding we were back to the dining hall for continuing our socializing.

We were socializing during enjoying wedang ronde, the Javanese name for tangyuan 汤圆, a kind of cocktail consisted of glutinous rice balls in sweet gingery warm water. The wedang ronde is usually served in a ceramic bowl.

It was Friday. In the morning it was raining heavily. I cancelled to join qigong.

In the dhuhur time I joined the Friday prayer in the Masjid Attaqwa. The preacher reminded us to manage our speech.

Lunch Out

It was Thursday. At noon I accompanied Nuri shopping in the Ada Supermarket. It was just to complete stuff she had shop several days ago. She wanted to buy a trousers for being used during out tour in Lombok. I also did the same. I bought panties, a short, and t shirt.

At 14:30 I and Rahutama had lunch at Bu Lin canteen. As usual I had a jengkol dish.

In the evening Anindya and Dastan came accompanied by Mrs. Djoni. He cried so loudly wanting to be with Mr. Djoni at Erlangga. Lanjutannya...

Taking Care a Baby

It was Wednesday. In the morning I joined qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 13 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, and pengqi guanding. At the end of the session we discussed about our plan to celebrate the first full moon in the Chinese year.

At 09:00 Nuri accompanied Bibik to get health consultancy at the Lung Health Center. I had to take care Dastan and Ailin at home. Fortunately, at 10:30 Mrs. Djoni came to pick up Dastan with her. So, my responsibility was just for Ailin. At 12:30 Nuri came, she told Bibik was OK 👌, no problem with her lungs.

It was Monday. In the morning I walked along the streets of Puspagiwang Timur, Sudirman, and Puspanjolo Tengah. At the Alfamart Sudirman I withdrew money.

Being at Home

It was Sunday. My day was filled with my usual work, managing my clothes. In the cloudy morning after having walking along the flood canal sidewalk I washed my clothes. It seemed the day was discouraging because it cloudy. However, I still washed and dried them at the front yard. At about 10:00 the sun was shining and it was enough to dry them. After dhuhur time I ironed them completely. It was an exhausting day but it made me energized.

In the afternoon when I was sleeping Anindya, Ailin, and Bibik came from Jepara. Dastan was absent, he would be overnight in Erlangga.

In the evening I downloaded the Maumere Line Dance video from YouTube. It was about 20Mb. In order to learn it I converted it to a 50% slower version. It was about 120Mb. Lanjutannya...

It was Saturday. In the morning Anindya and Bibik went to the Lung Health Center. They wanted to check their health. It was so important to add information for Dastan diagnosis.

Usual Day

It was Friday. In the morning I went to the temple hall to join qigong. The participants were 11 people. We practiced chenqi, pengqi guanding, and first half of xingshen zhuang. After ending the session I paid off our shares for the capgomeh event in the Wujil.

Servicing the Car

It was Thursday. In the morning at 09:00 I went to the Nasmoco Workshop on Jalan Majapahit to put the car for a routine 50.000km service. Dana was the clerk served me. After registering he gave an estimated cost, Rp1.160.000. About 90 minutes I waited and at 12:00 the car was completely checked and serviced. Fluids were replaced. The cost was Rp1.152.000.

On the way home I stopped by the Management Office of River Basins (BBWSPJ) office to take the for salary deduction sheet for income tax. Because it was the time for praying I paid mine in the masjid. The masjid was relatively full of the praying people. Later, in waiting for Muchlas, the guy responsible issuing sheets, I met Tony, a yunior when I was in the Regional Office. He is now an official in the Management Office of National Road (BBPJN-7). Withdrawing Pension Salary

It was Wednesday. In the morning I joined qigong. The participants were 9 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin zhuang.

At about 10:00 Bagus came. He took Dastan, Ailin, and Bibik with him for going to Erlangga. I and Nuri went to the Bank Jateng HQ to take the pension salary. I met Budi Sulistyo there. He seemed just to take his pension salary. The withdrawing process took in a short time because there were no one else in line.
