Working

It was Thursday. The day was going as usual for us. We got sahur in the early day. It was the day 25th of Ramadan. My menu was steamed chayote dan steamed chicken. I slept after praying. I got up when the gate bell was ringing. Bu Jakahir was there. She passed the rempeyek (crispy fried nut in flour) for Nuri. Nuri did not mention because she was washing clothes.

I filled this day by completing the attachment for invoice. There were some papers more had to be attached. I sent those papers to Pandhu and Hidayat. Breaking Fasting Out

It was Tuesday. We were performed sahur in the morning. Then, we enlisted the people nearby to get our zakah. Bu Kus came on Nuri's call. She was the first to receive the zakah. The day was cloudy ☁ and we were at home.

In the afternoon we went to the Hotel Novotel to have breaking fasting. We also invited Zaenal and Hidayat. We also invited the their spouses. Actually, we invited Pranoto but he could not come because he was in Ambon. We expected Bambang Priyambodo to join us but he was on the way to Semarang. Later, he told he was overnight in Hotel Ciputra.

The breaking fasting rate was cheaper than that of the Hotel Gumaya. It was Rp99.000 compared to Rp145.000. So, they provided was less various. In addition, this afternoon there were many cadets from the Shipping Academy had breaking fasting. We almost run out several specific foods.

Booking Dining

It was Monday. In the morning we got up in the morning for having sahur. My menu was steamed broccoli, steamed shrimp and mushrooms. I slept after praying.

At 10:00 we went to settle several matters. We went to the Novotel Hotel to book for breaking fasting on Tuesday (tomorrow). We met a clerk in the resto section. The rate was Rp100.000 per pax. After getting info we booked for six packs. A down payment of Rp200.000 was paid off.

Then, we went to the Sehat Pharmacy to get my medicines. We spent Rp951.000 for 2 kinds of medicine: biobran and

Breaking Fasting Out

It was Sunday. It was the day 21. We still had our sahur in the morning. My menu was steamed mushrooms, fried tofu, fried starched shrimp, and steam baby labu. There is no rice.

Before dhuhur time I and Nuri went to the Simpanglima area for getting stuffs. However, the traffic was congested. So, we turned to lead to the Superindo Karangayu. In the meantime of shopping phoned us his parents invited us to join their breaking fasting in the Gumaya Hotel, Cascade Resto.

At 17:15 after passing through the traffic jam on Jalan Pemuda we arrived at the hotel. There were Om Beni and a guy there waiting the time. Then, Silpa, Dimas, and Marcelo joined us. We broke our fasting together. Mr. and Mrs. Djoni joined us later. Bagus joined us for a while. There were 2 more guys joining I did not know. I did my prayer in the musala on the 6th floor.

Going to Ungaran

It was Saturday. It was the day 20 of Ramadan. We still maintained our fasting by having sahur سحور in the early morning. I slept again after praying.

Before dhuhur ظور time we went to Ungaran for sight seeing. We picked up Asri to join. We visited 3 places: the Raja Lunpia, the Nissin factory, and the Virgin Bakery. The first visit was the Raja Lunpia. We bought raw lunpia. Asri bought another product, meatball inside tofu. The products have covered by the halal certificates issued by MUI (Indonesia Islamic Scholars Council) of Semarang.

The Nissin factory was our main destination. They have an outlet where they sell their products in retail. The outlet was crowded enough since today was holiday. There are many kids accompanying their parents shopping.

The Virgin Bakery Ungaran was our last destination. The bakery has a nice outlet, too. It sells bakery products and various kind of cookies.

Being at Home

It was Friday. It was the day 19 of Ramadan. We were still in fasting. In the morning Fitriani came by home for visit. She talked much with Nuri. She told that Aning has been welcomed at the Semarang State High School 7 at the Kalipancur Area.

At dhuhur time I joined the Friday at the Masjid Attaqwa. In the afternoon I did gardening. We wanted to go out after maghrib time but again we cancelled it. It was raining in the evening.

Television stations broadcasted that today the Workers Clan Party passed their support statement to Basuki TP for the Jakarta Governor candidacy. The other two parties, the National Democrats Party and People's Consciences Party has passed their similar papers previously. Till now only Basuki TP is regarded to be the most prospective candidate for the Jakarta Governor 2017-2022.

From the international news Britain, finally, decided to leave Europe Union after a referendum said that 52% of the people wanted to exit the union. The referendum has been managed yesterday. Lanjutannya...

It was Thursday. As usual we got up at 03:00 in the morning for sahur. My menu was mango then followed by a small portion of rice, a steamed egg, steamed broccoli, tofu hot soup, and emping crackers.

It was Wednesday. It was the day 17 of Ramadan. The passed night was the Nuzulul Quran نزل القرآن. In the morning we still maintained our fasting. By 06:00 Nuri reluctantly went to the temple for joining qigong. She had given words to meet Melani 廖梅玲 there. Melani had made a kind of pastry for her.

Rahutama Going to Jogja

It was Tuesday. The day was going as usual. I was still at home. We still maintained our fasting.

Being at Home

It was Monday. We got up early for having sahur. My menu was fried tempe, steamed spiced fish 🐠. A small portion of rice was added, just a spoon.

In the morning I wanted to write about Kedungombo on my blog but I could not find the material. The material is a paper written by the BBWSPJ and had presented by Pantja Hernawan one day in the Dam Management Office.

Nuri went out for shopping. There were several items she had forgotten to buy.

High Precipitation

It was Sunday. It was the day 14 of Ramadan. The usual activity was underway. In the early morning I, Nuri, and Rahutama got up for sahur. The menu was ok. I also consumed rice in a small portion because I thought I need it. I slept again after praying.

The day was cloudy and rainy. I did gardening for a while. In the afternoon the social media circulated the news that fairly high water inundated the area of Surakarta, PUrworejo, and Kebumen. The rain in relatively high was the culprit. It also caused landslides in the areas of Purworejo, Kebumen, and Banjarnegara. The death tol was over than 30 people.

At home Pak Kuswari fix the latch of Rahutama's bed room door. It was replaced with a new one. Nuri had bought it for about Rp300.000, Rp125.000 for the casing/handle and Rp175.000 for the inside part with out the locking part. Lanjutannya...

Rahutama Coming

It was Saturday. In the morning at 03:00 Rahutama came. He just arrived from Jogja, his colleague accompanied him. His body was cigarette smelly because his colleague was a smoker. We then had sahur  سحور together.

After sahur I moved my clothes I had dried yesterday to the hanged drier. Then, I slept.

At about zuhr time Nuri went out to buy a window lock. I was still at home ironing. In the afternoon the rain dropped fairly. Rahutama went to joined his colleagues for having breaking fasting.

Washing

It was Friday. Our fasting was still on progress. We also maintained our sahur. Nuri went to the temple to join qigong I was still at home.

Before zuhr time I washed my white clothes. After finishing I went to the Masjid Attaqwa to joined the Friday prayer. It was sunny but suddenly changed to cloudy. Finally, the rain was coming, a mild rain.

At 14:00 Mr. and Mrs. Hidayat came. He brought a bundle of contract documents. It was my contract of individual consultancy to conduct dam technical audit. We talked until the rain was over when they then left. Lanjutannya...

Walking

It was Thursday. It was the day 10. We still maintained our fasting. We got up at 03:00, had sahur, prayed, and slept again. My sahur was just steamed spiced chicken and tempe hot coconut milky soup.

In the afternoon at 16:00 I walked along the West Floodway pathway. Then, as usual I watered the front yard.

The maghrib time was at 17:33. Nuri provided young coconut cocktails. After maghrib time we went to the Simpanglima area to buy 2 portions of pecel. We had it for our dinner. Lanjutannya...

Going to Jurnatan

It was Wednesday. We still managed our fasting. We as usual got up early for having sahur. I slept again after praying.

Before zuhr time I and Nuri went to the Jurnatan area to seek door handles to replace the broken ones.  We got the stuffs at Rp125.000 each. We bought 20 pieces. Nuri installed them in the afternoon.

This afternoon television stations told that the president proposed Gen. Karnavian to be the National Police Chief. The parliament would manage a meeting to examine him.

Being at Home

It was Tuesday. The Loving-8 Tuesday-3 (Selasa Kliwon 11). It was the day 9th of Ramadan. I was at home to make my review on the draft of the interim report. The review then was sent to the team.

Working at Home

It was Monday. It was the day 8 of Ramadan. In sahur session I consumed steamed chicken, fried tofu, and egg bokchoy stir-fry.

After zuhr time I wiped and mopped the floor. Then, I continued to garden the front yard. In the afternoon I helped Nuri washing the car. I felt exhausted.

At 16:30 I went to the masjid to deliver money for takjil as the masjid caretakers has asked yesterday evening. I then went to the Cak Rus Barbershop to trim my hair. Just after maghrib time I arrived at home for breaking my fasting. Lanjutannya...

Being at Home

It was Sunday. It was the day 7. We still kept to got up in the early morning for sahur. My menu was steamed spiced chicken and steamed broccoli. In the morning after getting up I washed my white clothes.

In the afternoon I made an afternoon walk. The route was Jalan Puspagiwang, Jalan Sudirman, and Jalan Bojongsalaman. On arriving at home I watered the front yard. Nuri told that Mr. and Mrs. Djoni just came. They gave us various vegetables, persimmons, and fried tofu.

It was Saturday. It was the day 6 of Ramadan. We still maintained our fasting. My menu was steamed spiced fish and vegetables.

About zuhr time we went to Superindo market for shopping. Then, we continued to the Giant market for shopping other stuffs.

Visiting a Colleague

It was Friday. I and Nuri went to the Telogorejo Hospital to visit a colleague. He is Djoni, he was Nuri's colleague when they were students of the Jember University. He was hospitalized for being stroke. He was unconscious in the ER so we just talked with his son, Alvin.

It was Wednesday. I have been awake almost all night because the temperature has been high. The mosquitoes have also annoyed us. We had breakfast at 03:00 in the morning. After praying I slept.

This day I was at home. I could not do anything because of the high temperature. In the afternoon I did short time gardening.

First Day of Ramadan

It was Monday. It was the first day of Ramadan 1347 Hijriah. I and Nuri got up early to have سحور (early breakfast). My food was just a boiled egg and steamed broccoli. Nuri consumed rice and vegetables soup. In advance I consumed an orange. I slept again after praying.

I got up again at about 09:00. After reading today's newspaper I washed my used clothes. There were many mostly underwears. Then, I slept again.

At 13:30 I got up. I did gardening by watering the front yard grass. Unfortunately, it was raining in the maghrib time.

Maghrib was at 17:33. Nuri provided palm fruit sweet, eggplant hot soup, and fried wraped egg (martabak). Besides, there were date and orange. Lanjutannya...

Going Back Home

It was Sunday. The Sweet-5 Sunday-5 (Ahad Legi 10). We went back home via Jogjakarta. Before going we had lunch in the dining room on the ground floor. I liked the food the hotel provided, lot of variety for a low cost hotel. I just took omelette, vegetable salad, papaya fruit, vegetable stir-fry, and black coffee.

After leaving the hotel we went to the Mesran Store where Surakarta styled snacks were available. We shopped some sorts of snack. We directly went to Jogja. The traffic was flowing. Nuri still controlled the steering. We stopped at the Ambarukmo Plaza. We waited for Yenny at the parking yard. The parking price was expensive, Rp20.000. We finally entered the plaza because the environment was hot. After getting her we checked in the Pizza Hut counter. We had lunch and chatting. Yenny was Nuri's colleague. So, the chatting was about their experiences. We were there for about 30 minutes.

We then went to Mbak Henny's house. Rahutama gave the location clue. We traced the north ring road. At the Jalan Kaliurang intersection we turned to the north. Just before arriving at the power step-down station we turned right to the east. At the end of the street we turned left to north. The house was about 150m from the turning point. The coordinate was -7.739167, 110.399000.

Mbak Henny was at home while the husband was not in. She told us he was going to Sidoarjo to fetch their grandchild. The house and the backyard was spacious. It was 4000m². They cultivate varieties of horticulture. They also breed catfish babies. They sell them to the grower. They live with their son Yudi that stays with his family in a house nearby. We were there was about 20 minutes.

The next destination was Rahutama's boarding house. Rahutama was having cough. We unloaded some stuffs and did our prayer. At about 17:00 we left the house.

We led for Semarang. The road was almost crowded but the traffic was flowing. We stopped by the Lezat Store to buy various snacks. We stopped by again at the Banaran Cafe in Bedono at 19:00 to have dinner. At 21:20 we arrived at home. Lanjutannya...

Joining a Wedding Party

It was Saturday. The Loving-8 Saturday-9 (Sabtu Kliwon 17). In the morning at 08.00 I and Nuri went to Surakarta to join a wedding party. Before leaving home Nuri fried lunpia for being brought to Surakarta. We took the toll road to go there. We entered at Jatingaleh and exited at Bawen. We stopped by the Banaran Cafe for having breakfast. The traffic seemed to be flowing but it then went to be congested started at Kartasura. There were many traffic lights from Kartasura to the hotel. We checked in at the Ibis Style Hotel although the time was still at 12:30. We got room number 835. The room rate was Rp322.013, I paid off in advance using a credit card.

After bringing our stuff to the room I dan Nuri left the hotel for Romlawaty's house. Nuri drove the car desperately because of the traffic congested. After entering the Kraton gate she got off. She went to the Beteng Market and I continued to go to Romlawaty's house on Wirengan VI alley in the Baluwarti area. I met her and some people used to lived in Panca Arga Magelang. There were Lies Yudhaningsih, Hari Utomo, Sri Utami, Rini Satriningsih, Dewi, Kun Yulia, and Djoko Sutianto. At about 30 minutes later Yudiaryani, Arien Pinalti, and Dwi Suparti came. We, then, shared our experiences during our living in Panca Arga. We also tried to recall some people in our childhood. At about 14:00 I left the place.

Going to the Beteng Market to fetch Nuri was an annoying business. There was traffic congested every where. So, I asked her to join me at a point in front of the Bank Indonesia office. I guessed she felt to have to walked quite long. Her face told she was unhappy. We got some rest after entering the room.

At 19:15 we left the hotel for the Graha Saba Utama on Jalan Suprapto to join the party. The way going there was a kind of desperating work. The traffic was congested especially when we almost reaching the venue. There were so many police and military officers in the street to make the traffic flowing. It made sense since the bride, Septiara Silvani Putri, was a President Jokowi's niece. He joined the party. The groom was Gatot's son, Joko Priyambodo. Gatot is my highschool and secondary schoolmate. We then got the venue but we did not get off because we did not get a parking space. We turned again and we got a space on an alley for parking the car. We walked for about 200m to get the venue. We was in the line for about an hour to deliver our greeting to the bride's parent, the groom, the bride, Gatot, and his wife. It was an exhausting effort.

The food almost run out. Nuri got salad solo and martabak. I consumed garang asem ayam. The party also facilitated us to make a picture of us. I met my schoolmates such as Widayanto, Hariyoto, Sri Adyati, Retnobroto, Noeri Tidia, Bambang Purwadi, Muhammad Najib, Endang Sri Rejeki, Ihyaudin, Susilo Tjahajaningsih, and Isa Ardani. Meeting

It was Friday. In the morning I and Nuri went to the temple hall to join qigong. The participants were 8 people. We practiced chenqi, pengqi guanding, and a half of xingshen zhuang. We came late 5 minutes when chenqi session was undergoing. On the way home we stopped by Pak Wito Soto stall to have breakfast. In the place we met Soewono.

At 09:45 I joined a meeting in the Sewu Room of the Santika Premier Hotel. I came late 45 minutes because the notification was received at 08:50. I had no time to catch-up.

The meeting was to discuss the modules composition. Robert, Pranoto, Suharyanto, and Hari were also joining. In the government side there were Suprapto, Hasan Basri, Iriandi, Dadang, etc. The modules were grouped into 2 syllabuses: groundwater and raw water. The raw water was presented by Suharyanto while the rest by Robert. We discussed until 14:30 with Friday Prayer and lunch were inside. We joined the congregational prayer in the Masjid Baiturahman nearby. Lunch we served in the dining room.

In the evening I and Nuri went to a lunpia kiosk on Jalan Mataram to buy the stuff. It was Rp10.000 each. The stuff would be brought to Surakarta tomorrow. Lanjutannya...

Withdrawing Salary

It was Thursday. I and Nuri was absent to join qigong. At 10:00 I went to the Jateng Bank, IKIP branch to withdraw my pension salary. The bank locates in the IKIP Auditorium area on Jalan Kelud. It was a new building. It was about 30 minutes I was there. Then I went to the Mandiri Bank, Pandanaran branch to deposit the money in Nuri's account. It took only about 10 minutes.

On the way home I experienced a traffic congested till the Tugu Muda. The culprit was the traffic jam on Jalan Sutomo.

Dinner Out

It was Wednesday. In the morning I and Nuri went to join qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 12 people. Maria was the laoshi. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin zhuang. Melani gave us a balinese lemon.

Before zuhr time, Nuri went out to settle her matters. She met Mrs. Bena in the Pleburan area.

In the afternoon I did gardening. I took the weeds off.

In the evening I and Nuri went to Bakmi Dul Numani noodles stall on Jalan Pemuda. It was raining ☔ but only a short time.
