Fasting

It was Thursday. It was the last day of the year 2015. I was fasting. In the morning I got up early to have breakfast. The menu was apple, egg terik dish and broccoli. After praying I slept again.

At noon Nuri went out for fruit shopping. I was still at home for debugging front yard. After maghrib time Bagus brought Dastan and Bibik to ErlanggA.

In the evening I went to bed early. I did not stick to find the minutes to end the year and enter the new year. I thought finding the times was as usual as the last year experience. Rahutama was home when I was sleeping.

Having Lunch Out

It was Wednesday. In the morning I went to the temple hall to join qigong. Nuri was still with her laziness. The participants were 12 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin zhuang. The laoshi Tan was in.

Before zuhr time I, Nuri, Dastan, and Bibik went out. We came to Germany Watch shop where Nuri renewed her watch battery. Nuri also came to the Satria to buy some items. We went to Banaran Cafe Trilombajuang to have lunch. Finally, we came to Bulu Market where Nuri bought red ginger.

At 17:00 Bagus fetched Dastan and Bibik. This night they were overnight at Erlangga

Joining Qigong

It was Tuesday. In the morning I went to the temple hall to join qigong. Nuri was still at home. The player was out of order so we lost much time. We only practiced pengqi guanding and part of xing shen zhuang.

Before zuhr time I and Nuri went out to settle several matters. We went to the Sehat Pharmacy to bought my medicines as prescribed by Doctor Sumanto. I spent more than Rp1.000.000 for a month medicines. At an electronic store in the Peterongan area we bought a telephone cord. The existing was broken. Then, we stopped by Ada Supermarket. Nuri shopped several items.

Seeing a Doctor

It was Monday. I got up in early morning to have breakfast. In the menu were apple, broccoli, and steamed egg. Today I was fasting.

At 09:30 I went to the lab. I stopped by an iron man to order 2 C shaped steel rod. It was just Rp5.000. In the lab it was feeling empty. The students were in but Pranoto seemed to be out. At 11:00 I went home.

At 16:00 Anindya was leaving for Jakarta. Bagus dropped her at the airport. The flight was at 17:00. At 18:30 Anindya told us she had arrived at her house in Jakarta.

At 20:00 I and  Nuri went to Jalan Lampersari to see Doctor Sumanto. It was a routine control. I was in queue number 23. I waited not quite long. At 21:10 it finished. My blood pressure was 140/80. He prescribed biobran and protexin.

Rahutama Going to Jogja

It was Sunday. In the morning I made a morning walk. I traced the streets of Puspagiwang, Sudirman, and Bojongsalaman. I found that provision of the sidewalk of Sudirman Street had finished. However, I thought the work was bad. The level was graded according to the normal and stores levels, alternately, so it did not provide comfortable environment to the pedestrians.

At 10:00 Bibik arrived at home by bike service (ojek). She reported that her electronic identity card (e-KTP)  had been issued. It was with her now.

At 11:00 I and Nuri went to Banyumanik to accompany Rahutama. He would go to Jogja by bus. After dropping him we shopped at Ada Supermarket Banyumanik. Then, we went down to the Kampungkali area where I pointed the dawet vendor to Nuri. Finally, we shopped vegetables and fruits at the Superindo Supermarket Atrium.

In the evening Anindya, Bagus, and Dastan were overnight at home again.

Being at Home

It was Saturday. The day was going as usual. In the morning I debugged the grass on the front yard. I liked to do it to train my patience and resilience.

At noon I went out to see the town atmosphere. The traffic was very low. I guessed people preferred being at home to outside. I found what Mr. Bondan's experience, the dawet vendor in front of Theresiana Secondary School.

In the evening Rahutama went out to join his friends. Anindya, Bagus, and Dastan were also being out.

Christmas Day

It was Friday. In the morning I, Nuri, Anindya, and Dastan accompanied Bibik to the bus stop at Banyumanik. Bibik would go back to Kebumen by a Sumber Alam minibus. At 06:05 the bus departed and we went home. We stopped by a bubur kacang hijau stall on Jalan Sukun to have it.

This day was Christmas Day. The town traffic were empty. Until 6 hours ago as reported by the television stations there had been traffic jams all over the intercity roads. We did not celebrate Christmas so we just enjoyed holiday at home.

In the evening I, Nuri, Anindya, Rahutama, and Dastan came to Florian Cafe on MT Haryono Street for dinner. Unfortunately, we did not find any meal, we just got variety of snacks.

Fasting

It was Thursday. I  was fasting. In the morning I got up for having early breakfast. The menu was steamed egg and baby ercis stir fry. I slept again after dawn praying.

At 08:00 Pak Yus came to fix the air conditioners. In the recent 3 days the AC in my room was leaking, dripping water. He serviced also that in Anindya's room. At about 11:00 the work was done.

Gathering

It was Wednesday. I did not went to the lab. Anindya, Dastan, and Bibik came home. Anindya had arrived at Semarang at 02:00 in the early morning.

At 11:00 I accompanied Nuri to join the monthly gathering of ex water supply project employees' wives at the Kampungkali Fried Chicken resto. The host was Mr. and Mrs. Bharoto. Couples of Widodo and Yatin joined the gathering. Mrs. Arus came alone. I did not order any dish because I still had fish and chips at home. At 13:00 we dismissed.

I and Nuri went to a kid bike store on Jalan Depok. We want to buy one for Dastan. After we got a candidate we were home to bring Dastan. Anindya, Dastan, and Bibik were with us to see the store. Eventually, we bought a kid bike of Wimcycle production for Dastan. It costed Rp700.000.

At about 23:00 Rahutama arrived. Nuri picked him at Kariadi bus stop.

Going to the Lab

It was Tuesday. It was showering in the morning. Nuri said it was everyday showering. At 09:30 I went to the lab. The members were almost complete. Reza was absent. The work was slowing down. At 11:00 I and Putra went to the BPDAS Pemali Jratun to get some data. Mrs. Maryati was welcoming us.

We had socializing for a while and she promised to share the data after having permission with her supervisor. She will inform the progress soon. So, we were back to the lab. In the lab Pranoto told me about the obstruction to settle the report. It was the survey and mapping.

In the evening after maghrib time I and Nuri went to the Fish & Co Resto to have dinner. We ordered 2 packs of fish and chips. Nuri chose the New York while I did the Italian styles. They were big portions. We could not finish them so we brought the remaining. The check was Rp261.000. Wow, we felt like a wealthy couple.

Going Back to Semarang

It was Monday. After having breakfast we checked out. We led to the station. I bought a ticket for Semarang. It was an economic class, the Kamandaka Coaches, scheduled to depart at 11:00.

Because I still had spare time we went around to trace I and Adi childhood places. We saw the Javanese Christian Church that I used to sing as a choir member. We also saw the building used to be our elementary school, SD Kristen III, that shared with SD Kristen I. The building now was used as SD Kristen I. Finally, we came to Bambang Suprapto Street #7 that we used to be our home. From a becak operator we knew that our childhood friends had scattered to many places.

At 11:00 I departed for Semarang. The route was Bumiayu, Prupuk, Tegal, Pemalang, Pekalongan, Weleri, and Semarang Poncol. I arrived at 11:44, it was 5 minutes early. Nuri picked me home.

Going to Purwokerto

It was Sunday. At about 08:00 we checked out. We led to Cijulang to trace my childhood place. At 1957 I and Adi had been sharing our childhood there. According to Bulik Warti's information our house was close to the Cijulang railway station. We had been used to walk from the station to the house. The station now was ruining. The railway rail was abandoned at 1981.

Then, we went to the Pangandaran beach, about 17 km from Cijulang to the north east. The beach was crowded. To enter there a ticket of Rp20.000 was charged to us. We just passing by then leaving for Banjar.

On the way to Banjar we stopped 2 times to trace the railway track. The first stop was at the viaduct located before we came to the mountain area. The track had been covered by water. Some people used it as ponds. The second stop was at Emplak Kecamatan Kalipucang. We reached the Hendrik Tunnel, one of the three legendary tunnels. The two others were Juliana and Wilhelmina tunnels. The last was believed to the longest railway tunnel in Indonesia. After finishing with sight seeing we left for Banjar.

About an hour to reach Banjar. We had our lunch at Ibu Hajah resto. We paid our prayer there. After evaluating that no more points of interest in Banjar we went to Purwokerto. We traced the route of Wangon and Kebasen. At about maghrib time we arrived at the Hotel Besar.

The Hotel Besar was an old fashion hotel. It was clean, cozy, and cheap. The Wi-Fi access were good. I and Lik Santo were in room #9 while Adi and Rahutama shared room #16.

At 19:00 we were out. I looked for a ticket to Semarang in the morning but I missed. Then, we came to Witosari noodles house to have dinner. I and Adi did not order any dish. We still felt full.

Going to Pangandaran

It was Saturday. At 07:00 I, Lik Santo, and Adi went to Pangandaran. We stopped by Kutoarjo Station to pick up Rahutama. He started from Jogja. The route was Kutoarjo, Sampang, Maos, Jeruklegi, Sidareja, Pangandaran, and Cijulang. We stopped again at the Asli stall in Kutawinangun where Rahutama and Adi had breakfast. The next stop was a public fueling station before Sampang where we paid our prayer. We stopped at the Sendang Sinaga Resto in Jeruklegi  to have lunch. At 17:00 we arrived at the Amazon Cottage in Cijulang area.

The cottage was a modest one. We shared a room. The cost was Rp487.962. It cleaned and cozy.  However, it did not provide hunger for towels, tissue, and hot water. It provided a poor Wi-Fi assess. I graded it 7 out of 10.

Going to Salaman

It was Friday. In the morning it was showering. I thought it was the third morning with showering. Dastan was fetched by Mrs. Djoni. He and Bibik left home with her. I joined the Friday prayer in the masjid Attaqwa.

At 13:50 Nuri dropped me at the Banyumanik bus stop. I got a minibus for Salaman. It was a Sumber Alam minibus. It costed Rp55.000.

At 14:00 the minibus departed. It was on time. It was showering along the way. At 16:30 I arrived at Salaman. The showering changed to heavy rain. I waited at a store nearby until Lik Santo fetched me with an umbrella.

Fasting

It was Thursday. In the morning it was showering. I got up at 02:50 for having early breakfast. I was fasting today. I slept again after praying.

At 09:00 I got up. At 10:00 I went to the KIA Service Center to buy a spart part, KIA Rio antenna. It was for Lik Santo's car. Then I went to the Sumber Alam Travel to order a ticket to Salaman. The next destination was the lab. It was empty. So, I  went home.

In the afternoon Dastan asked to brought him to the SMP Ekarini front yard for playing. He was so excited to be there. His ball was rolling into the culvert. I could not take it.

Morning Showering

It was Wednesday. In the morning it was showering. The morning was chill. I was reluctant to go for qigong so I continued my sleep.

Nuri went to Mrs. Yanto's house to gather with her socialites. I was still at home.

In the afternoon I brought Dastan to the Greget Dance House to introduce him to traditional dance. He was scared. Nuri was mad to Bibik because she dropped unintentionally a spot of sauce on her bag. This night Bagus was overnight at home.

Visiting Patient

In the morning I went to the temple hall to join qigong. The participants were only 6 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, and pengqi guanding. After exercising we discussed Laoshi Li's lesson.

At 09:00 Dastan and Bibik came home accompanied by Om Benny. At 10:00 I went to the lab. There was no more busy. At 14:00 I left the lab.

At 17:00 I and Nuri went to the Elisabeth Hospital to visit Marcello Tegar Wibowo. He was hospitalized for high temperature. His parents, Dimas and Zilpa  were with him. He was in the Room 202 Maria.

At 18:00 Bagus fetched Dastan and Bibik. This evening they were overnight at Erlangga.

Meeting

It was Monday. I was late to get up early to have breakfast, so I deliberately cancelled the fasting. I planned to give oral presentation this day.

At 09:00 I went to the lab. The branches of the mango tree were being cut to avoid disturbing to the car. So, I could not park on the usual place. I and Pranoto review the matters I would present to the audiences.

At12:00 after zuhr time we went to the Pemali Juana River Basins Management Office. On the way we had lunch at a soto stall. At 13:00 we arrived at the office.

At 13:40 the meeting was opened by Ms. Rantika. It was a meeting to discuss the draft final report on Detail Design of Glagah River Flood Control. I represented the consultant to give oral presentation in the beginning of the discussion. On the consultant side were Pranoto, Heriyan, Doni, Dirmawan, Suharyanto, and the students. On the client side were Rantika, Jeanny, Didit, Wahyu, Heri. On the stakeholders side were Nur Hidayat, Adi, and Anwar. The meeting ended at15:40.

It was heavy raining so I had to wait for it until stop. However, the showering was still heavy. I walked through the showering to get in the car

In the evening we came to the Shabu Zen Resto on Jalan Trilomba to have dinner celebrating Bagus' bithday. He was 30 years old. The other attendants were Anindya, Dastan, Bibik, Om Benny, Mr. and Mrs. Djoni. Dimas was absent because he was with his son, Marcelo, that was hospitalized in the Elisabeth Hospital.

This night at 11:30 Anindya went to Jakarta by train. She left Dastan and Bibik in Semarang

Joining a Wedding Party

It was Sunday. The Yellow-7 Sunday-5 (Ahad Pon 12). At 18:00 after maghrib time I and Nuri went to the Pringgading Resto to join a wedding party. It was organized by our qigong colleague, Liauw Sioeling 廖秀玲 and her hubby, Suryo Prayogo (Go Djietlien 吴日粦) to celebrate the marriage of their second child, Retno Susilowati (Inge - Go Lin-in - Wu Linyin .吴霖音). She married to Matthew Johar Kohana (Kho Ik-hian - Xu Yuxian 许裕賢). It was a banquet. The participants were almost all from the chinese ethnic group that tolerated to piggery products. The hosts recognized my faith forbid them, so they provided a vegetarian table for us.

In the morning I made a morning walking to the Balad Store area. After showering I went to the Bima Sakti Car Washing Station to clean the car.

At 11:00 I and Nuri accompanied Rahutama to Banyumanik area. He would go to Jogja. After dropping him there we went to the Sehat Pharmacy to buy medicines. On the way home we bought some pempek at Musi Kiosk on Jalan Kaligarang. Lanjutannya...

Anindya Coming

It was Saturday. In the morning at 05:15 I left the house to make morning walk. I traced the streets of Pamularsih, Basudewa, Sudirman, and Bojongsalaman. It was along the riverside of the West Flood Canal. It took 50 minutes. On the way I met pak Legimin the guy in the lab.

After walking I wiped and mopped the floor. It was to welcome Dastan who would come from Jakarta. And that was true, after finishing mopping Dastan came accompanied by Anindya, Bagus, and Bibik. Bagus had fetched them from the airport. Dastan looked so cute and I loved him very much.

At 08:30 I went to the Pandanaran Public Health Center (Puskesmas) to check my blood pressure. It was 120/70. The doctor allowed me to quit amlodipin 5mg.

After for a while at home I went to a warung tegal on the Suyudono street. I had breakfast there. When I arrived at home again Dastan, Anindya, Bagus, and Bibik had left for Erlangga.

At 17:00 I and Nuri came to the Angkringan Polke on Pamularsih street. It was like a cafe where we could order nasi kucing, drink, and Javanese snacks. It was cool. Then,  we left for Indosat customer service at Pandanaran street. I and Nuri wanted to change our simcards to a 4G compatible ones. Because our turns were so long behind we left. We went to the Ada supermarket. When Nuri was coming in to buy snacks I was still in the car, waiting.

Rahutama then told us he was walking to get home. So, we fetched him at Jalan Puspanjolo Selatan. After arriving at home Rahutama went to the Convention Hall of Masjid Agung to join the wedding party of his school mate. Lanjutannya...

Last Preparation

It was Friday. At 08:40 I went to the lab. The lab members were complete. We discussed the matters for presentation. At zuhr time I joined the Friday prayer in a masjid in the Engineering Faculty area. At 14:30 left the lab for home.

Meetings

It was Thursday. I joined two consecutive meetings. The first meeting was the fourth plenary meeting of Central Java Water Resources Council (Dewan SDA Provinsi Java Tengah) and the second one was an internal meeting for Glagah Flood Control Detail Engineering Design. The Dewan SDA plenary meeting was organized in the Wadaslintang Room at the Dinas PSDA Office chaired by Mr. Prasetyo. The meeting was discussing 4 matters: (1) Report of Special Committee on Soker Toll Road Arising Problems, (2) Wrapping Up of Management Basins Pattern, (2) Currents Issues on Water Resources Management, and (4) 2016 Council Working Plan. The meeting started at 19:00 and ended at 13:00. I was there to assist the secretariat providing the meeting record.

The second meeting was in the Operation Room of Pemali Juana River Basins Management Office (BBWS Pemali Juana) to discuss the consultant's preparation to present the final design. It was chaired by Ms. Rantika and participated by Didit, Tika, Pranoto, Ms. Wati, A. ndrew, Putra, Reza, and started at 14:30 ended at 16:00.

In the morning I got up at 02:50 to have early breakfast. My diet was banana, steamed egg, dan sprout stir fry. This day I conducted voluntary fasting as did by the Prophet Muhammad.

General Election

It was Wednesday. In the morning I and Nuri went to the temple hall to join qigong. The participants were 14 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin bing zhanzhuang.

This day was a special holiday to give people time to put their votes  to choose governors, regents, and mayors. There were more than 200 territory heads elected today. People named as a democracy extravagant. In Semarang Mr.  Hendy were elected as the mayor. It would be his second time in service.

At 11:00 I dropped Rahutama at a Banyumanik bus stop. He would go to Jogja.

Finishing a Report

It was Tuesday. In the morning I and Nuri joined qigong exercise in the temple hall. The paticipants were 11 people. We practiced chenqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin bing zhanzhuang.

At 09:30 I and Rahutama went to the campus. I got off at the lab and Rahutama continued to go to the administration building. He processed his diploma duplicate. At 14:30 Rahutama fetched me home.

Today I finished the supporting report of watershed conservation. This report was one of several reports supporting the Glagah Flood Control Design Final Report.

In the afternoon I forward the December salary for Mr. Hidayat. The salary had came into my account yesterday morning. It was the last salary of the contract of dry season monitoring.

Breaking Fasting

It was Monday. As usual I got in the morning to have early breakfast. Broccoli and steamed egg were in the diet. I slept again after dawn praying.

At 09:00 I went to the lab. The members were complete. At 12:00 after zuhr praying Pranoto suggested to have nasi soto for the lunch. As recommended by the syari I welcomed the suggestion. I broke my fasting. We had nasi soto in a kiosk on the side of Tembalang Street. The dish was ok. At 16:00 I left the lab.

Breakfast Gathering

It was Sunday. At 00:20 the train arrived at the Tawang station. Rahutama fetched me. I was back to the coach feeling that my hat had left behind but I did not find it. We then, went to Simpanglima food court. I had some pecel for my late dinner. Following arriving at home I prayed then slept.

At 06:30 I woke up. I lost my dawn prayer. I prepared myself to join my colleagues. At 07:40 I went to Pudakpayung. I joined Priyo, Yatin,  Widodo, and Eryanto at Banyumanik. We came to Suhartono's house in Pudakpayung area.

Suhartono and his wife were at their house. They served us with good breakfast menu: rice, fried tempe and tofu, bothok (steamed spicy coconut grating), and gudangan (mix of coconut grating and vegetables). Husni and Ngadiyono then joined us. We had social chats about our era work.

At 09:50 I arrived at home again. Rahutama had gone to Wonosobo to join his friend's wedding party. I slept to continue my rest.

Joining a Wedding Party.

It was Saturday. In the morning I had breakfast in the hotel. It was a very simple diet. At 10:00 Anindya picked me up to her boarding house. I met Dastan again. As usual he was cute.

At 11:30 Anindya, Dastan, and Bibik accompanied me to a Multipurpose Building on Jalan Manila, Senayan. I joined a wedding party organized by Sutono to celebrate the marriage of his son, Aditya Suharsono. He married to Ensa Ananda Siregar. As usual, the wedding party was a reunion session. I met Yati, Ipung, Ade, Totok, Seta, Wury, Gowik, Wiwik, and Johny. I also met Cendy and Pentadi. At 13:00 I left the venue.

I joined Anindya, Dastan, and Bibik again. We went to the Pasaraya Sarinah Manggarai to buy Dastan's clothes. Dastan was so active and occasionally he was mad. At 15:15 we left the store for Gambir Station. They accompanied me till the gate of the waiting room.

At 16:15 the Argo Sindoro Coaches departed for Tawang Station. However, it stopped at around Cipinang because the locomotive failed. We need time to replace it. At 18:32 we continued to go.

Going to Jakarta

It was Friday. In the morning Nuri dropped me at the Tawang Station. By Argo Sindoro Coaches I went to Jakarta. The train departed at 06:00 and arrived at the Jatinegara Station at 12:00. It almost on time.

I had lunch in a padangese resto near by. I also issued a return ticket. The price was the same, Rp310.000. Then I checked in the Pop Hotel Tebet. At 13:00-15:00 I went to Menteng Pulo to see Dastan. Dastan was cute and funny.

At 20:00 I joined a gathering at the Urban Kitchen Resto in the Pacific Place Building. Ade, Seta, Endi, Ipung were joining. At 22:00 we moved to the Coffee Bean Cafe. Peni (Seta's wife) and her sister in-law were then joining. Seta covered all the checks. We just shared our experiences and opinions. We had lot of fun. At 23:00 we dismissed. Endi dropped me at the hotel.

Fasting

It was Thursday. I got up in the morning at 02:50 for early breakfast. At 04:30 I slept again.

Nuri went out again to complete her stuff. I was at home to wipe and mop the floor. Then,  I slept after zuhr praying.

After breaking fasting I and Nuri went to the Poncol Station to buy a ticket for Jakarta. Unfortunately, the ticket booth closed. The clerk told it opened from 09:00 to16:00. Then I went to an Indomart Counter nearby. I bought it in full price Rp310.000. I would get a discount if I bought it from the PTKAI directly.

Seeing a Doctor

It was Wednesday. In the morning I went to the temple hall to join qigong. On the way there I refilled the car with pertalite at the Indraprasta PFU.

The participants were 14 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and zhan zhuang. After exercising Melani distributed variety of cakes. It was her birthday. I delivered the wishes shengri kuaile.

At 09:30 I went to the Pandanaran Public Health Center (Puskesmas) to control my blood pressure. It was 120/90. Doctor Retno suggested me to see the doctor again a week later.

At 11:00 I went to the lab. The members were complete. I went back home at 14:00. Nuri went to Ada Supermarket for monthly shopping.

Withdrawing Salary

It was Tuesday. I was absent to join qigong. At 09:00 I went to the lab. The members were complete. At 10:00 I and Pranoto went to the Management Office to see Ms. Rantika, Mr. Didit, and Mr. Wahyu. We were discussing the schedule for final report presentation.

On the way back to the lab I got off at the Bank Jateng Tembalang. I withdrew the salary. It was a quick process. After concluding I was back to the lab, walking. At 16:00 I went back home.
