New Identity Card

It was Tuesday. In the morning I joined dawn prayer in Attaqwa Masjid. Then, I joined Qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 15 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and part of xingshen zhuang.

At 09:00 Nuri went out to visit Mrs. Bena that was told ill. I wiped and mopped the floor. The temperature was still hot, I was annoyed. On arriving home Nuri brought me my new dweller identity card. It replaced the lost one.

In the afternoon I worked on structural analysis for the Labuha airport buildings. In the evening it was raining.

Being at Home

It was Monday. In the morning I joined Qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 11people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin zhuang. I killed 4 mosquitos during the session.

The day was still hot, I had no passion to go out nor to do work. Nuri made eggplant in red chilli pepper for our meals. She went to a clothing rental in Banyumanik area to fit her traditional uniform. She would be a committee member of a wedding party organized by Mrs. Sudijanto.

Being at Home

It was Sunday. I was at home all day long. The day was so hot since there was no raining in the recent days. I was in more than out of the bedroom. The air conditioner was on almost all the day. Nuri fried mushroom and tempe for our meals.

Gathering

It was Saturday. I joined a gathering in the Jatibarang Dam area. About 40 former Water Resources Agency employees gathered there to have a three monthly meeting. The meeting was to visit the dam area since some of us had never been there. It was quite new and just impounded for the first time. The other was to know new informations related to the policy on water resources management. Mr.  Wisnu presented them to us. Speeches were delived by Mr. Harsono (the the former employees chairman) and Mr. Bambang Astoto (representing the ead of  management unit).

To be there Nuri dropped me at Mr. Harsono's house at 08:10. By his car I, Mr. Harsono, Mr. Sunomo, and Mr. Hamim went to the site. At the same time two buses of our former colleagues and several cars led there. At the building of maintenance and operation I met Mr. Nidhom, Mr. Zaenal, Mr. Supangat, Mr. Agung, etc. At 13:00 the gathering concluded. Mr. Zaenal and Mr. Hamin dropped me at home.

At home there was a guest, Ratna. She was chatting with Nuri. A moment later Ina and her daughters: Inez and Deniz came. It was a sosial visit. About an hour later Andra and Ninok came to pick up Ratna. Ina and the gangs left home at about 15:00.

In the evening Asri and Argi came. We talked about family news.

Joining a Birthday Gathering

It was Friday. In the morning I and Nuri joined Qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 10 people including the instructor Chen Ming and the master Bambang. We practiced chenqi, laqi, and pengqi guanding. On the way home we stopped by Pasar Gang Baru (a casual market on the New Alley). Nuri shopped vegetables there.

I joined the Friday Congregation Prayer in Attaqwa Masjid. The preacher reminded all the audiences for being optimistic since God always confirms whatever everyone thinks.

In the evening I and Nuri joined a gathering managed by Mr. and Mrs. Djoni in the Driving Golf Cafe on Jalan Sultan Agung. It was Mrs. Djoni's birthday gathering. Mr. and Mrs. Nasir were in. They came from Jogja to join a wedding party tomorrow. Bagus, Dimas, Zilpa, Marcelo, and Om Benny were also participating in the gathering. Mr. and Mrs. Djoni provided birthday cake, dinner, dance and music. I sang some songs and tried to join dancing session.

Dinner

It was Thursday. In the morning I and Nuri joined Qigong in the temple. The instructor was Li Jian. We practiced xingshen zhuang and filling qi. The participants were 30 people.

After zuhr time I washed the car at the Bima Sakti washing station. There were 4 cars before mine so about an hour was spent to wait the car done. The cost was Rp33.000.

In the evening we joined Qigong participants dinner gathering in the Pringgading Resto. About 30 people joined the session. Vegetarian dishes were available for me and Nuri. There were vegetables omelet and tofu in mushroom dressing.

Rahutama Going to Jogja

It was Wednesday. In the morning I and Nuri joined the Qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 14 people. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin zhuang.

After zuhr time I and Nuri accompanied Rahutama to the bus stop on Jalan Setiabudi. We dropped him there to get a bus for Jogja. He would go there.

Mr. Yatin told through the telephone line that he asked Mr. Surjadi to rent a car for our trip to Malang. He said that Mr. Surjadi had expertise to hire cars. I proposed that the car must be covered by a car insurance.

Receiving Family Card

It was Tuesday. In the morning as usual I joined the Qigong in the temple. The participants were just 8 people. We practiced chenqi, pengqi guanding, and part of xingshen zhuang.

Rahutama went to the tax office to give his tax report. Since he had no income he settled it quickly.On arriving back at home he brought us nasi padang.

After zuhr time I came to the kecamatan office to pick our family card. It was the one I had processed last week. On receiving it I processed my identity card. The clerk told that it would be ready next week. On the way home I stopped by Balad Store to buy a compass. It was just Rp7.500.

In the evening I and Nuri went to Sehat Pharmacy to buy medicines as prescribed by Doctor Sumanto. We also bought fruits at the Superindo Supermarket on Jalan Sriwijaya

Endianto Coming By

It was Monday. In the morning I joined the Qigong in the Taykaksie temple hall. The participants were about 8 people. Chen Ming was the instructor. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and sanxin zhuang.

At 12:00 I and Nuri went to the Kariadi Hospital, ICU to visit Mr. Nugroho. He had been hospitalized for a heart problem. Mrs. Widodo joined us in the hospital. Actually, we visited Mrs. Nugroho who accompanied him. Mr. Nugroho might not welcome any visitor because of his condition.

I received call from Hariyoto would come by. He was with Endianto. I told him for my readiness to welcome when I was on the way home. At 13:00 they came by. We had chatting and took our picture. At about 14:00 we went to Cak Man Soto stall where we had our lunch. We, then, dropped Endianto to the airport. He would go back to Jakarta. Hariyoto dropped me on the alley entrance.

In the evening I accompanied Nur to refill for her handset.

Nuri Testing Food Taste

It was Sunday. In the morning it was cloudy but then turned to shiny. At 09:30 I dropped Nuri at Mrs. Sudiyanto's house to join her testing the catering. She would manage a wedding party for her daughter so taste testing to the catering service was necessary.

In the afternoon I wiped and mopped the floor. Asri came by to pass snacks for us. She just came from Salaman and dropped Peni at the airport.

In the evening Rahutama went out to join a dinner party. One of his schoolmates managed the party to celebrate her success in passing the government employee test.

Neighborhood Gathering

It was Saturday. In the morning we were still at home. Nuri made spaghetti dressing and used it as topping of baked bread. I had it for breakfast.

At noon we went to a shaomian stall in Telagabayem area. Nuri ordered some for a (ladies) neighborhood gathering. We went to a cooking stuffs store to buy silica gel but we cancelled to do because the package was so much.

In the evening there were a (gentlemen) neighborhood gathering but I did not join. I just sent the money.

Rahutama Coming

It was Friday. In the morning I and Nuri joined Qigong in the Taykaksie temple hall. It was showering so the participants were only 3 people. In the beginning. However, at the end we were in about 10 people. We practiced chenqi, pengqi guanding, and part of xingshen zhuang.

I went to the airport to cancel my Lionair ticket to Jakarta dated March the 22nd. The clerk told that to refund I had to inform the agent, Traveloka through its application. Because I could not use it I informed them by an email.

Peni came home. She had arrived at Semarang last night and been overnight in Asri's house. Then, she with Asri and the gangs left for Salaman.

I joined Friday prayer at Attaqwa mosque. In the evening Rahutama came home.

Joining a Monthly Gathering

It was Thursday. In the morning we joined Qigong session in the temple. The participants were about 12 people. Li Jian came to be the instructor. We practiced stretching and xingshen zhuang.

At 11:00 we joined a ex PAB employees' wives monthly gathering at the Jawa Deles Resto on Jalan Kedungmundu. The place was nice, we can see a good scenery behind the resto. The hostess was Mrs. Surjadi. Mr. Surjadi was in accompanying her. The participants were couples of Yatin, Bharoto, Bud, and Suprijanto. We served with fish and chicken dishes. Vegetable dishes were also available, like trancam (vegetables with coconut grating dressing) and steamed taro leaf with hot soy sauce dressing.

Seeing a Doctor

It was Wednesday. In the morning at 05:45 I went to the Kariadi hospital to get the turn for enlisting. I got #20 and waited for the enlisting desks opening. I met Mr. and Mrs. Trijoko. They were also in waiting. At 07:00 the desk opened I got turn #7 to see Doctor Suharti but enlisting would open 2 hours before doctor on duty.

At 10:30 I and Nuri went to the hospital. I took the medical laboratory results. At about 11:40 I saw Doctor Suharti. She was accompanied by 2 other doctors. She prescribed me amlodipine 5mg again. Then, we went to Tax Administration office in Djohar area.

I need to file my annual tax report in the office. The retirement employees had a special desk. A clerk served me. He printed my tax detail and I signed on. My business settled.

In the evening I and Nuri went to Indomart Supermarket, Gajahmungkur to shop fruits.

Meeting

It was Tuesday. In the morning I and Nuri went to the temple to join Qigong. It started earlier than usual because the 'owner' joined with us. The participants were 13 people. I and Nuri practiced chenqi and pengqi guanding. There would be a motion again but I left the hall.

In the morning I came to Mr. Sudijono and the to Mr. Sukirdi to get an accessing letter (surat pengantar) to the kelurahan office. I then, at 10:30 came to the Kelurahan Bojongsalaman office to get an accessing letter for having a new identity card. My identity card was lost last Wednesday in Jakarta. I also asked a letter to to change employment data on the identity card. After getting the letters I went to the Kecamatan Semarang Barat Office.

In the office the officer told me that firstly, I had to process data changing in family paper. It would take a week. After that I could process the identity card application. So, I followed his explanation by applying the family paper changing. He gave me a ballot to take the new family paper, if printed.

At 10:00 Nuri accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Bharoto to see a hall for their party. They would organize a wedding party to celebrate the marriage of their youngest daughter.

At 13:00 I joined a meeting in the Water Resources Agency office to prepare a meeting of special committee of the Provincial Water Resources Council. The participants were Mr. Bena (chairperson), Mr. Pangestu, Mr. Sucipto, Mr. Sugeng, Mr. Suhartono, and Mr. Agus. We discussed3 points: aquaculture in the water storage, morphological dynamics problem along north shore, and providing rain water collection ponds. The recommendations were to encourage the operator to impose the law and regulation, to encourage district and town governments to stipulate buffer zones, and to push the forestry agencies to conserve river basins vegetatively. At 16:00 the participants dismissed.

Nuri Joining Qigong

It was Monday. In the morning I and Nuri went to the temple to join Qigong. This was the first time Nuri joined it. We practiced chenqi, laqi, pengqi guanding, and part of xingshen zhuang.

After having breakfast we went to the Kariadi hospital. The laboratorium took my blood and urine sample. After finishing with the laboratory we went to the Semarang Sony Service Center to take my camera. The camera had been fixed. No cost since it was guarantee covered. Then, we went to the Semarang Barat Police to report my identity card lost. The report would be used to make a new card. I left some money on receiving the report. The next stop was Mr. Yonatan's house. Nuri need to buy a bed mattress. On the way home we stopped by  a pecel stall on Jalan Basudewa to buy 2 pax of pecel. Those was for our lunch.

In the afternoon I dropped my code copies at a printing shop to bind them to be books. I also came to the Pamularsih fueling station to add the fuel in the car tank. The Pertamax 92 costed Rp8.600 per liter.

Shopping

It was Sunday. Nuri made fried rice for our breakfast. She completed it with vegetables and crackers. I truly enjoyed this breakfast.

Before zuhr I went to ACE Hardware, Pemuda, the Kampus Printing Shop, and Gramedia Bookstore, Pandanaran. At the first place I bought a plunger coffee maker. It costed Rp83.700. It was after 10% discount. At the second one I printed 2 SNI codes. I spent Rp130.000. In the bookstore I was just window shopping. However, I paid Rp4.000 for street parkir.

When I just arrived at home Argi, Aly, Zaky, and Hakim was coming. I was involved a social chat with Hakim. In a moment they and Asri left home.

In the evening I and Nuri went to Ada Supermarket, Bulu to buy a training pack. We get a piece at Rp87.900.

Asri Joining

It was Saturday. Before zuhr I and Nuri went to several points in the town. We went first to the ACE Hardware, Simpanglima to look for a lemon squeezer. We met Mr. and Mrs. Agus on the walkway entering the store. A quick chat was occurring. In the store we didn't find the squeezer. Then, we went to a Pramuka honey counter on Jalan Kusumawardani. Nuri bought 2 bottles of it, a big and a medium bottles. Finally, we entered to an Atjeh stall. We tasted a plate of Atjeh noodle and a cup of Atjeh coffee. They were tasty.

In the afternoon Fitriani and Asri came home to make a courtesy visit. We just shared our conditions. In the afternoon Fitriani went back to her home while Asri left. Asri was overnight.

Going Back to Semarang

It was Friday. I, Mahardi, and Faris left home at 06:20. It was earlier than usual since we had to drop Faris at his school on Jalan Martadinata by 07:00. After dropping him we went to the Aloha Canteen in the Cihapit area for having breakfast. We arrived at the campus at about 08:00.

There was no specific work in the campus. I visited the rooms I used to have class. They had been having renovation. Then, I went to the bookstore to seek a steel structure design book but I did not get it.

At 11:00 we went to the LIPI mosque to join Friday prayer. We need to be there earlier to get parking space. The preacher told us for always asking for Allah mercy. We had lunch in the Ampera Resto.

At 13:30 we left the campus. We fetched Faris from a Futsal stadium. Then, we went to the airport. They dropped me there. I checked in. My flight was JT1896. At 17:30 I was on board of an Wing Air ATR72-600. At 18:30 I landed. Nuri fetched me. We bought meals from a warung tegal on Jalan Suyudono. At 19:30 we arrived at home.

Being in Jakarta

It was Thursday. I had my breakfast in the hotel because they provided it. At 10:00 I checked out and when to the Ministry of Public Works. I came to the Data Center Office where the Library located. I searched several building codes what I need. Eventually, I just copied the pavement guideline. I downloaded the other.

At 14:00 I left the library to the Xtrans Transport pool on Jalan Hasanudin. Because I had to wAIT till 17:30 I moved to the pool on Jalan Blora. I got a seat would be depart at 16:00.

At 15:55 the transport departed. I got the seat #10. It was raining when we entered the Cikampek Toll Road. The traffic was moderate so we were flowing. There was no stop for having rest. At 19.15 we arrived at the Xtrans pool, Batara Hotel on Jalan Cihampelas.

I waited for Mahardi there. At 21:00 he fetched me. He actually just arrived from Jakarta. He parked his car at the ITB area. We, then went home. We stopped by a padangese resto (Sinar Paris) in Sayati area to buy fried chicken and my meal. At about 21:30 we arrived at home.

Going to Jakarta

It was Wednesday. I, Mahardi, and Febi went to Jakarta by train. The train departed at 05:05 and arrived at the Gambir station at about 08:00. We went to the office of the Ministry of Transport to meet the officers in charge for our work.

We had our breakfast in the office canteen. When we arrived at the 24st floor, we met Mr. Santoso, the consultant representative. However, we couldn't see the officers because they unscheduledly assigned out of the city. So, we had just small discussion between us.

We then, separated. I dropped Mahardi and Febi on the station and I went to Menteng Pulo to see Dastan. About an hour I was with Dastan. The I left him. I had my lunch in the Mi Aceh Resto then checked in the Pop Hotel.

In the evening I had my dinner in the Senayan Satay Resto nearby.

Working in the Campus

It was Tuesday. I and Mahardi went to the campus at 07:30. Theta was with us. We dropped her at her campus, NHI Setiabudi. At 09:00 we arrived at the campus.

In the campus I involved in a discussion with Febi concerning the structure schemes of terminal building roof, airport tower and multiple purposes building. It was quite exhausting.

At 17:30 we going home. We had dinner in a pandangese resto in Sayati area. When we arrived at home we found that we had no key to enter the house. We had to wait for Erna, Theta, and Faris. At 21:00 we could be entering the house after they came.

In the evening I made structural exercises for the roof and tower structures. It was a hard day.

Going to Bandung

It was Monday. I went to Bandung by Nusantara Patas. It was my first time to use this carrier. Nuri dropped me at the bus pool on Jalan Siliwangi Kalibanteng. Some passengers were waiting for their buses in the waiting room. About 30 minutes to wait for boarding time. At 08:45 the bus started to go.

The bus was a modest one. It equipped with lavatory, very simple one. The bus was also air conditioned so I felt comfort. The boring item was that the bus stopped in every town terminal, it was like a common regular one.

At the Tegas bus Terminal we stopped again. We had 30 minutes for free. I came to a stall to have green bean porridge. A bowl was Rp4.000. It was ok to fill my stomach. I couldn't do my prayer because no prayer room was available.

Nuri provided me with 2 boiled eggs and broccoli. One was consumed when the bus about Pemalang and the rest was after Cirebon.

The traffic was generally flowing but then we were congested in the Jatiwangi - Cileunyi segment. I thought it was the critical segment. The government was construction the toll road from Bandung to Cirebon to cope with.

At 20:00 I the bus arrived at the Cicaheum Terminal of Bandung. Waiting for a taxi was an annoying thing. To avoid the 'no argo' taxi I got in an angkota, a small public transport. It waited the passengers for a long time. So, I got off and was back to get a no argo taxi. After bargaining I got in. The cost was Rp50.000 to bring me to ITB. After waiting for 30 minutes at the ITB main entrances Mahardi fetched me.

In a padangese resto at Sayati we had dinner. At 10:15 we arrived at home (Mahardi's house).

Postponing Going

It was Sunday. I planned to go to Bandung via Jakarta today but I had to postpone it. The problem came from my mistake on inputting the data so the ticket for Jakarta would be valid for 22 March flight. I found it in the checking desk when the clerk told me that.  To come with the problem in a hurry I and Nuri run to the Nusantara Bus ticketing to buy a ticket for Bandung. The clerk told all tickets had been sold. So, I had to postpone my plan, we go home.

In the morning I and Nuri went out to settle some duties. We went to Sehat Pharmacy to get medicines of Doctor Sumanto's prescription. Then, we went to Ada Supermarket to buy 2 pieces of sleeve for me. Finally, we came to a mobil stall on Jalan Kelud to buy cassava crackers.

In the evening I and Nuri went to the bus ticketing to buy a ticket. On the way we stopped by Cak Rus barbershop to pay off my debt, Rp12.000. From the ticketing I got a ticket for tomorrow Nusantara Bus to Bandung. The ticket price was Rp115.000 per person for a patas bus seat. Patas stood for cepat (quick) and terbatas (limited)

Trimming Hair

It was Saturday. We didn't prepare anything for our meal. We had our breakfast in a soto kudus stall on Jalan Pamularsih.

Before noon Nuri went to Mrs. Sudiyanto's house to join a wedding procession committee. I was at home sleeping.

At 15:00 I had my lunch in a warung tegal on Jalan Suyudono. On the home I stopped by Cak Rus barbershop to trim my hair. It was raining. I owed Cak Rus Rp12.000 because he had no smaller change when I paid off his service with Rp100.000 bill.

Nuri Coming Home

It was Friday. Nuri came home in the evening. She arrived at the Tawang Station at 21:43. The Harina Coaches she was in came 20 minutes late. I picked her there up. On the way home we bought pecel Yu Sri for our dinner.

In the morning and afternoon I ironed my clothes. I joined the Friday prayer at Attaqwa mosque. I came to a warung tegal for lunch.

Fixing the Camera

It was Thursday. I was still alone. Bu Kus was not in duty. She was taking care her grandchild at her house. I just made rice.

By noon I went out to settle several businesses. I went to the BNI Bank Karangayu to update my bankbook. I did the same at the BCA Bank Sudirman. At the Bank Jateng Pemuda I drew my March salary and sent it into Nuri's account in the Mandiri Bank. I updated my bankbook in the Mandiri Bank Pandanaran. Finally, I came to Sony Service Center on Jalan Melati Utara to put my camera for service.

I was there for quite long to discuss the malfunction I found in the camera. The camera could not be paired to my handset for remote operation. The other problem was that the camera lense was slightly hard operated. The first problem was solved by Ridho, a technician that worked in Bursa Camera store. The center was operated under the store. The second problem need a week to fix, the center clerk said. When I was at home, a technician told me that the problem came due to the ovalness of the camera.

In the evening I went to a warung tegal on Jalan Suyudono to have dinner. On the way home I bought a new Three SIM card. Heavy showering was happening intermittently.

Being at Home

It was Tuesday. I was stil at home. I made a dish for my meal. At about 12:00 I went to the public fueling on Jalsn Pamularsih to refill the fuel and to widraw money. The pertamax RON92 gasoline was Rp8.250/liter. The rupiah was in the level of Rp12.950/US$1.

I got message from Dwi Prasetyo that tomorrow we, the retired water resources agency employees would trip to Jatibarang Dam.

Being at Home

It was Monday. I did not join th3 qigong. In the afternoon Melani reminded me to join the qigong. She also asked me why I did not join it for a week.

I was at home all day. In the morning I washed some of my used clothes. The I made a dish, sambal goreng tempe lanas. It tasted like sambal tumpang.

Nuri called me to explain where she had put vegetables and the spices.

Rahutama Going to Jogja

It was Sunday. I had an apple for my breakfast, as usual. I washed some of my used clothes.

I accompanied Rahutama at Bang Udin stall on Jalan Indraprasta to have his breakfast. The stall provided Jakarta styled porridge.

At about 13:00 I dropped Rahutama on the bus stop in the Jalan Sukun area to get a bus for Jogja. He would go there.

At 19:00 I got dinner at a warung tegal on Jalan Suyudono. I selected cassava leaf and squid.
