Being at the Hydro Lab

It is Friday. In the morning I prepared myself for joining qigong. Unfortunately, it was showering outside so I cancelled my plan.

I joined the Friday prayer at Masjid Attaqwa.

At 13:15 I went to the lab. I found the traffic was stuck before Tembalang Gate. There was an overlay there.

In the lab I directed Tyo and Reza conducting the work. At 16:00 I went back home.

Getting Tax Filing Advice

It is Thursday. At 09:30 I went to the Tax Administration Office to file my income tax. After being in line for a half hour a clerk was ready for me. I wanted her to correct my file. She told that mine was correct but the office could not receive my file because my profession did not match to the form. She suggested me to alter my profession. I preferred using the existing to the altered one.

At 12:30 I went to the lab to check the work. The team (Tyo, Reza, etc) was complete. I met Bu Wati n Edhi. On the way home I stopped by Bu Lin's stall to have my late lunch.

Trying to Filing Income Tax

It is Wednesday. In the morning I joined qigong in the temple hall. The participants were about 8 people. I just participated in chenqi, laqi, and pengqi guanding. I left before all session concluded.

This day I allocated my time to file income tax report. However, until afternoon I could not settle it so in the evening I and Nuri went to the tax administration counter in the Citra Mall. It closed. We had our dinner in the Lapangan Tembak Counter.

Being at Home

It is Tuesday, It is a public holiday to let Hinduism follower to undergo Nyepi (being quiet) ritual. In the morning I joined qigong after long time being absent. The participants were only 5. We only practicing chenqi, laqi, and pengqi guanding.

At about 08:00 Mrs. Djoni passed a soto for Anindya and Dastan. She was just in front of the house to avoid Dastan awareness. He would be crying wanting to be with her if he knew that his grandmother was in.

I was still at home. I was so reluctant to go out

Going to Jakarta

It is Monday. In the morning at 04:45 I went to the airport accompanied by Nuri. I would go to Jakarta. Nuri just dropped me there. After checking in I went to the waiting room. It was flowing since the passengers were not as many as usual. At 05:40 I boarded on a Boring 737-500 NAM Air flight IN221 seat 21F. The aircraft took off at 06:15 and landed at 07:10 on the Terminal 2F of the Soekarno Hatta Airport of Jakarta. It was slightly earlier than as scheduled. A Damri bus then brought me to the Bus Terminal of Kampung Rambutan. It costed Rp40.000. Later, an ojek costed Rp30.000 brought me to the office of the consultant.

At 10:00 I joined weekly design meeting. The participants were the contractor, the investor, and the contractor. The meeting was discussing the progress and obstacles on conducting the design. It concluded at 12:30. It continued to allow a solar cell supplier (PT Wika Energy) to present their products. The toll road by the Minister's Decree should utilize a renewable energy system. Solar energy then is chosen as the one.

At 14:00 I left the office for the airport. I used a GoCar car to get there. The cost was Rp159.000. It was cheaper than that offered by GrabCar, Rp225.000. At 15:15 I checked in the Lion Air. At 17:10 I boarded. It was after schedule 50 minutes. The Boeing 737-900ER Lion Air flight JT0514 took off for Semarang at 17:35. I was on seat 30D. The aircraft landed at 18:25. Nuri picked me home. At 18:50 I arrived at home.

At 20:00 Peni came. Later, Anindya, Ailin, and Bibik went to a resto to join Mrs. Djoni's birthday party.

Lunch Out

It is Saturday. In the morning I ironed my clothes, only some of them. I stopped it when I had to have breakfast. Nuri then continued to iron my clothes.

At about 10:00 Dimas and Marcelo came home. They wanted to pick Dastan to see a movie. Dastan was sleeping but then he woke up. They had playing around for a while. Anindya did not let him to join to see a movie. He cried when they left.

I, Anindya, Dastan, Ailin, and Bibik went to the Paragon Mall for lunch. We checked in the Mama Malaka counter. The dishes and beverages were ok. I also met Yiyi. We chatted for a while. At 15:00 we went back home.

At 16:30 I walked along the perimeter of West Flood Canal tracing the streets of Pamularsih, Basudewa, and Bojongsalaman.

In the evening I joined the monthly neighborhood gathering at the Pak Parno's house. The host was Pak Sudarto. I joined partly. I left the venue when there were attendants starting to smoke.

Joining a Meeting

It is Friday. In the morning I washed my clothes. They were piled since I was away for a long time.

At 10:30 I went to the lab to see the work conducted by Tyo and Reza. I met Pranoto and discussed the ditch n the cross drain again. I joined the Friday prayer at the Masjid of the Engineering Faculty.

At 13:00 I joined a meeting in the office of Central Java Water Resources Management and Spatial Planning Authority (Dinas Pusdataru). The other participants were Sucipto, Ketut Artana, and Agus Purwadi. Sutrisno chaired the meeting. We discussed and settled the draft of Governor Regulation on Provincial Water Resources Council. We dismissed at 15:30.

At 16:15 I walked tracing streets of Puspagiwang, Sudirman, and Bojongsalaman.

On arriving at home I booked a ticket for my trip on Monday morning to Jakarta.

Going Back to Semarang

It is Thursday. I went back to Semarang. In the morning at 03:30 local time Anwar woke me up. I soon packed the stuff and prepared myself for going. I left my sandals in the guesthouse. At 04:30 a taxi picked us up for the airport. Prio gave the driver Rp100.000. After entering the departure door we directly checking in. Prio and Anwar checked in the Batik Air counter for Jakarta while I did Lion Air for Semarang. They were served quickly since the line was shorter than mine. My seat was 24F. At 05:20 we did our dawn prayer in the international floor musala since the domestic musala was full. We also had some coffee and sandwich in a food counter.

At 06:00 they were boarding, later, I was boarding at 06:10. We were on schedule. My flight was Lion Air JT625 scheduled to take off at 06:40 and land on the Ahmad Yani airport of Semarang at 07:20. The Boeing 737-800NG landed earlier, at 07:10. Nuri picked me up home. At 08:00 I arrived at home. I slept till 10:00.

At 13:00 I went to the lab. I met Pranoto, Tiyo, and Reza to discuss my findings during my trip to Balikpapan. Pranoto suggested me to composed a report about it. At 16:00 I left the lab for home.

At 19:30 I, Nuri, and Dastan accompanied Rahutama to the Joglo Semar bus terminal. Rahutama would go to Jogjakarta. On the way home we stopped by at a Indomart shop to fill my Mandiri e-Money.

Going to Samarinda

It is Wednesday. In the morning at 07:30 we (I, Anwar, and Prio) left the guesthouse for Samarinda. Anto was still the driver.

We had agreed to meet the other group at the contractor office on Km 38 but because we were late we rearranged to meet them at the Mahkota II Bridge in Samarinda. As a matter a fact we met them in a soto lamongan stall just before we arrived at the bridge. We had breakfast there.

After having breakfast we went to the bridge. It is cute but it has not been used yet. The bridge center line is the same to that of the toll road entrance. The entrance has a slope of 6%, it is considered to be too steep. I also found that the drainage gutter can not bear the run off so water tends to overflow and inundating the road.

We then traced the alignment until station 30.000. The alignment is not connected yet so we spent much time to get in to the alignment and to get out to the existing road. Before maghrib time we had a meeting at the contractor office of section 21. At maghrib time we dismissed. The meeting organizer gave us boxes of meal for our dinner.

Presentation

It is Tuesday. In the morning we had breakfast in the guesthouse. Edo bought packed rice for us. Then, we went to the Her Hotel to pick up Kresno the geotechnical engineer. We continued to go to the contractor office on Km38 to join a coordination meeting. The meeting started at 10:10 was chaired by Danu. Parties of planning consultant, supervision consultant, contractor, investor, and management consultant attended the meeting. I presented our progress on hydrology and drainage. Kresno did the geotechnics. A discussion then emerged. At about 13:00 we dismissed.

We accompanied Kresno and his assistant going to the airport. After dropping them we (I, Prio, Anwar, and Edo) had lunch in the Saung Sunda Resto. The dishes were tasty.

In the evening at 19:00 we went to join the contractor anniversary celebration at the Novotel Hotel. Because the attendants were so many we chose to just filling the presentation sheet and left the venue.

We went to a fish based food stall nearby. We had dinner there. On the way back to the guesthouse we stopped by at the contractor office. We met Mr. Napitupulu who checked our drawing. He explained his notes on the drawing to us. At 23:30 we arrived at the guesthouse.

Tracing the Toll Road

Itu is Monday. We had breakfast at a padangese food counter nearby. At about 09:00 Niki, a contractor engineer picked us (Anwar, Prio, and me). We went to the contractor base camp on Jalan. About 30 minutes we were there. The base camp is representative. It consists of a main building, offices for the contractor (PT Wika), the designing consultant (PT Madya M) , the supervision consultant (PT), and the investor (PT JBS).

We entered the station 58+000 and ended at the station 65+000. Then, we exit it to have lunch and prayer.

We then came to the site for the Palaran Interchange. It is close to a coal mine. The other part is still covered by forest although the road base has been constructed.

Because of showering we exited from the site again. We came to a site office. A discussion was managed concerning the problem in site.

At about 16:30 we left the office for going back to the guesthouse. We stopped by at a food stall to have dinner. At the contractor base camp we stopped again to drop Niko. The driver drove us to the guesthouse.

Going to Balikpapan

It is Sunday. The Yellow-7 Sunday-5 (Ahad Pon 12). In the morning at 09:00 Nuri's childhood friends left the house for Surakarta. On awaiting leaving I had socialization with them.

We checked out at about 09:30 and went to the Klothok Resto in Kaliurang area, about 30 minutes to the north. The customers were so many. We had to be in a line. Our turn came after 10 minutes. Traditional Magelang styled dishes were available such us nasi megana, sayur lodeh, sayur kol, fried tempe. They were tasty.

On the way back to Jogja we stopped by at the Hamzah Batik counter in Kaliurang. I bought a piece of batik for the Wika celebration in Balikpapan.

We came to Rahutama's boarding house for having rest. He packed his stuff for his accompanying Nuri going back to Semarang. Then, we accompanied him to put his bike at a parking room in Jombor Bus Station.

Rahutama and Nuri dropped me at the Terminal A the Adisutjipto Airport of Jogja at 14:00. In fact, my operator Sriwijaya Air is at the Terminal B. I had to catch a shuttle car to bring me to the Terminal B. I checked in the Sriwijaya Air flight SJ230. I asked a a window behind seat but I got the isle one, 33C. After being in the waiting room for about 10 minutes I boarded. At 15:10 the Boeing 737-800NG brought me to Balikpapan. At 17:40 local time I landed at the Sultan Ali Airport of Balikpapan.

Following the direction of Prio, I ordered a taxi to the guesthouse, a house in the Balikpapan Residence Block WA4. The fare was Rp70.000. About 20 minutes later I arrived at the place. I occupied a room not completed yet but I overcame it.

Going to Jogja

It is Saturday. In the morning at 08:30 I and Nuri left home for Jogja. She would join her childhood friends that would come there. We stopped by at a pastry shop in Banyumanik area. We bought brownies and other snacks. We also stopped by at Bu Atmo Kitchen in Magelang for having late breakfast.

At about 13:00 we arrived at the Beringharjo Market of Jogja. She was shopping and I waited for her at a parking area. At about 15:00 we checked in the Bukit Barisan Guesthouse.

At 18:00 her friends arrived at the guesthouse. We picked Rahutama up from his boarding house. Nuri joined her friends while I and Rahutama and his colleague Dandy had dinner in the Sederhana Resto.

Discussion

It is Friday. In the morning I joined qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 11 people. I underwent pengqi guanding then left the venue.

At home I washed and sunny dried my clothes. The day was promising.

At 09:15 I went to the Hydrolics Lab. I met Tyoo and Pranoto. To Tyo I ordered him to make a presentation document about drainage. I discussed it to Pranoto. I conducted Friday Prayer in the masjid close to Engineering Dean office. At 14:00 I went back home. Dastan and Ailin and Bibik were not in. They had moved to Erlangga.

In the evening I and Nuri went to the Lapangan Tembak counter in the Paragon Mall to have dinner. We had to be careful to cross the street in front of the mall since the traffic was crowded.

Going Back to Semarang

It is Thursday. In the morning at 04:00 there was a guest from Semarang coming. He was supposed to be a geotechnics engineer. Awaiting for the office hour he had rest on a vacant bed.

After dawn prayer I walked to the office and went back again. It took less then 30 minutes.

At 08:30 I left the guesthouse for the office. I stopped by at a warung tegal for having breakfast. At about 09:00 I arrived at the office. Almost all of the employees had not shown up yet.

At 10:30 I participated to a meeting discussing soil problems at the project. Beni, Prio, Pardji, Amor, and a minutes reporter joined it. The resource person was the geotechnics engineer had come in the early morning. Later, as a matter of fact, he is Dirmawan's son. He described procedures and methods on soil investigation.

At 14:15 I left the office for the airport. I used grab car charging me Rp129.000. I arrived at the airport at 15:45. My flight number was Batik ID6346. I directly checked in. My seat was 27A. delayed 45 minutes 19:45 landed on the Ahmad Yani Airport of Semarang. Nuri and Dastan picked me up Anindya went to Jakarta her kids left in Semarang

Internal Meeting

It is Wednesday. In the morning I walked again to the office after praying. The traffic had been crowded. I had to be careful at being walking.

At 08:00 I left the guesthouse for the office. I stopped by at a soto counter. I had chicken soto for breakfast.

In the office I joined the meeting to evaluate the progress.

At 18:30 after joining a maghrib congregational prayer, I went back to the guesthouse. I stopped by at a padangese counter. I spent Rp15.000 for a nice dish.

Familiarizing with the Environment

It is Tuesday. In the morning after praying I walked to the office. It took 15 minutes so it became 30 minutes when I arrived at the guesthouse again.

At 08:00 I went to the office by walking. It was about 12 minutes. I had a cup of coffee and a piece of banana filled bread for my breakfast. In the office I socialized with other employees. My lunch was a plate of gadogado. At 18:30 I went back to the guesthouse. I stopped by at a rumah makan padang for having dinner. At about 19:30 I arrived at the guesthouse.

Going to Jakarta

It is Monday. In the morning at 06:30 Nuri dropped me at the Ahmad Yani Airport. I would go to Jakarta. After checking in and passing the security check I directly boarded. At 07.35 the Batik Airbus A320 flight number ID6343 took off. I was on seat number 29A.

The plane landed on time. It scheduled to land on the Soekarno Hatta Airport of Jakarta at 08:35 I ordered a Grabcar car to get me at the office in Jalan Bina Marga Cipayung. It costed Rp159.000. The driver was Kurtubi to whom I paid off the fare. I thought he served me good. About an hour later I arrived at the office. It was the project office of Madya Mangunkarsa Engineering Consultant, the designing consultant of Balikpapan - Samarinda Toll Road Project.

It was the first time I officed in this place. There was a meeting in my first day. It attended by the employer (PT Jasa Marga Balikpapan Samarinda), the contractor (PT Wijaya Karya), and the designing consultant. It discussed problem in designing the toll road.

At noon, I and Anto checked a room of the guesthouse on Jalan Anggur. I was supposed to stay there. It was ok though the room had not been equipped well.

In the afternoon walked to the guesthouse. Gugun gave ride for my stuff so when I arrived at the guesthouse I found the stuff was in. This is my first night here.

Preparing for Going

It is Sunday. In the morning it was showering so I cancelled my intention to walk. Instead, I continued to sleep. At about 08:30 the day seemed promising, the sun was shinning so I washed my clothes. At 11:30 several of them were dried so I ironed them. In the evening I continued to iron.

At 05:00 I, Nuri, and Dastan went to the Sarika Pharmacy to pay my prescription. The medicines were all supplements, they were Biobran 500mg (60 tablets for a month) and Lacidofil (30 capsules for a month). They costed Rp860.000. On the way home we stopped by Balad Store to buy lamps and ACE Hardware Karangayu to buy a padlock for suitcase.

In the evening I packed stuff for going. Tomorrow I would be going to Jakarta. Meanwhile, Om Beni came to pass snacks from Mrs. Djoni. She just arrived at her home from the trip to Kebumen.

Going Around

It is Saturday. In the morning at 05:30 I walked through streets of Puspagiwang Timur, Sudirman, and Bojongsalaman. At the BNI Karangayu ATM 🏧 I withdrew money 💰. At the plaza on the west side of the flood canal I saw Pak Harsono and the crowds were exercising.

Before dhuhur time I and Rahutama went around Ngalian and Mangkang to see the toll road construction 🚧 progress. The Bringin Underpass and Mangkang Overpass were undergoing. On the way home we stopped by Bu Lin kiosk to have lunch.

In the afternoon Pranoto told me that the management had transferred money for my mobilization.

Seeing the Doctor

It was Friday. In the evening after isha time I, was accompanied by Rahutama, went to the Lampersari Street to see Doctor Sumanto. On the way there we stopped by the IBL Clinic Laboratory to take the blood result. When we arrived at the doctor practicing place, I found that he took rest. However, when he was in again I soon got my turn. My blood pressure was 140/80. The doctor as usual prescribed biobran and lacidofil.

In the morning I prepared for joining a meeting in the Provincial Agency of WRM&SP (Pusdataru). However, when I made confirmation to Niken it was postponed to the afternoon.

I joined the Friday prayer at the Masjid Attaqwa.

At 13:30 I joined the meeting in the Kedungombo Room. It was chaired by Sutrisno. The other participants were Niken, Sutjipto, Sugeng, Agus, and a new typist. The meeting stopped at ashr time. After having ashr prayer Nuri picked me up.

In the car I changed my clothes. I was ready for walking 🚶. Nuri brought my stuff home I walked home. The route was streets of Madukoro, Wiroto, Sudirman, and Puspanjolo. It took about an hour.

Going to the Hydraulics Lab

It is Thursday. In the morning at 09:30 I arrived at the hydraulics lab to meet Pranoto. There were two main discussions we made. First, it was the Palaran Interchange and second, it was my mobilization to Jakarta. About to interchange, we still need the situation drawing. It would be used to analyze the water level under flood condition. About the mobilization, I would be in Jakarta on Monday. The accommodation cost would be on the project expense.

On the way to the lab I took the toll road path. The Manyaran access entrance was congested. About 15 minutes I was in line

Seeing the Doctor

It is Wednesday. In the morning at 07:00 I went to the Garuda Polyclinic Kariadi Hospital to register my name to see Doctor Eko. After paying off the BPJS levy of Rp200.000 I put my blood sample to the laboratory for examination. Then, I went home.

At 11:00 I and Nuri went there. My queue number was 3 but I had to let queue bearer number 4 and 5 to pass over me because I had to get the blood examination result. In the room Doctor Eko told that regular control could be stopped because my condition was ok 👌. He suggested to have one more feces examination then colonoscopy. I went home with feeling relieved.

Shopping

It is Tuesday. In the morning I joined qigong in the temple hall. The participants were 16 people. We practiced chenqi, pengqi guanding, and the first half of xingshen zhuang.

At 11:00 I, Nuri, and Dastan went to the Ada Supermarket for shopping. We stopped by at the Garuda Clinic of the Kariadi Hospital to confirm the possibility to use insurance in examining blood parameters. The laborant told me it was just ok👌.

In the supermarket Dastan was happy. He was then happier when I brought him to the kids zone on the second floor.

Asking for the Endorsement

It is Monday. At 09:30 I and Nuri went to the Elisabeth Hospital to get an endorsement for the reference paper. Not like several months ago that endorsement can be made by bpjs clerk, right now it is issued by the second level doctor. Because Doctor Dony's queue was full (only 20 patients per day) I went to Doctor Djoko. I got turn number 29. After awaiting for more than an hour I got my turn. About 5 minutes I was in his room. He knew what he had to do, issuing an endorsement. I arrived at home at 12:30. Dastan was not at home. In Beni took him to Erlangga.

At 20:00 Anindya came. She was with Dastan.

Being at Home

It is Sunday. In the morning I walked again along the walkway of the West Flood Canal. Many people gathered to exercise on the stage built on the canal west side. The gathering is usually organized on Saturday and Sunday morning. This morning I walked closed to them to know if they conducted line dances. They did not.

On arriving at home I prepared for washing but suddenly the PLN power shut down. So, I postponed washing. An hour later the power was on and I started to wash. Washing is my usual work in Sunday morning. This day Dastan was helping although actually he bothered me. The day was promising so at 12:00 almost all of the clothes were dried.

After dhuhur time I ironed them. It concluded after ashr time.

In the evening I and Dastan accompanied Anindya buying nasi padang at the Citra Bundo Resto. Our dinner was with nasi padang.

Going to the Second Level Hospital

It is Saturday. In the morning after praying I was ready for walking but it seemed the day would be rainy so I cancelled to walk and slept again. When I got up again at 07:00 the sun was shinny so I left home for walking. Nuri gave money to buy traditional snacks at the Puspanjolo Selatan street market. I walked along the walkway of West Flood Canal. I arrived at home with the snacks on hand. They are blendung (boiled corn with coconut grating), gatot (steamed dried cassava chips with coconut grating), oyek (steamed dried cassava flour with coconut grating), and ketan lopis (steamed leaf wrapped glutinous rice with syrup and coconut grating).

At 10:30 I and Nuri went to the Elisabeth Hospital to have BPJS (Public Health Insurance) endorsement for the reference paper. I chose The Elizabeth Hospital as the second level health institution. Unfortunately, the BPJS section closed so we had to be back on Monday. On the way home we stopped by Candi Superindo Supermarket for shopping.

This morning and every Saturday Anindya have been joining the exercise organized by his office. Today she used my car since her car was being under service.

Applying a Reference Paper

It is Friday. In the morning at 07:45 I went to the Pandanaran Public Health Center to get reference paper. I got queue #39. About 15 minutes I was awaiting to have my turn. They served me quickly. Doctor Ayu measured my blood pressure, 140/80. She also enquired my health problems. About 5 minutes later I got the paper. I went home.

I asked Nuri to go to the Elizabeth Hospital to endorse the paper but she was reluctant to go. She was not quite well.

Putting Samples

It is Thursday. In the morning at 09:00 I went to the Kariadi Hospital Garuda Laboratory to put my faeces sample. An examination was required to get information for the coming three monthly doctor control. The cost was Rp79.000 for faeces routine Rp51.000 and for benzedine Rp28.000. Before dhuhur time I was accompanied by Nuri and Dastan came to the IBL laboratory to put my blood sample. Doctor Sumanto needed the H-Pylori IgG parameter information. The laborant told us that the examination would take a week. The cost was Rp760.000.

In the evening I, Dastan, Ailin, and Bibik accompanied Anindya to buy a birthday cake at the Citra Mall. We needed to wait until 21:00 to get a discount. Ailin seemed getting bored, she cried. At 22:00 we arrived at home.

Withdrawing Salary

It is Wednesday. In the morning I continued my sleep after praying. I was reluctant to join qigong. However I conducted walking instead. I traced the streets of Puspagiwang Timur, Sudirman, and Bojongsalaman. At 09:00 I went to the Bank Jateng to withdraw my pension salary. It was quick, before 10:00 I was at home again.

Bagus finished from his internship in Jepara. He was back to Semarang but this evening he would go to Pemalang for the other town of his internship. Dastan was stuck to him. He cried when Bagus would leave for Pemalang in the evening.

This day in the afternoon, King Salman of Saudi Arabia and companions arrived in Indonesia. They were welcomed by President Joko Widodo in the Bogor Palace. It was heavy raining when the welcoming ceremony took place.
