I was surprised this morning realising that my computer was connected to internet. It seemed somebody had fixed the connection which had malfunctioned for a long time. My wonder was just for a while when Haryono reported that a new network had been set up. Since yesterday our computers as a network had been linked to an internet gate.
First part of the day I was in Kutoarjo. In the morning Nuri provided early breakfast meal. It was few rice and kidney bean soup. Then the entire office hour I was in the office. Many documents needed to have signature.
The remaining part of the day I and Nuri went back to Semarang. It was 16.10 when we left Kutoarjo. Haryono was after us to give the tomorrow meeting matters. We stopped by Café Banaran to have dinner. Again, we stopped by Jalan Pandanaran to buy hair color. We arrived home at about 20.30.

Sending an Application
We were in four when had early breakfast. Anindya accompanied us though she were not fasting. We felt good though we only had rice and gudeg.
In the morning to afternoon we were still at home. I filled a personal history form as part of my application to ADB. As it complited I sent it to ADB Office electronically. In the afternoon Anindya and Rahutama went to a veterinary clinic. They wanted the doctor to observe Ketem, our cat. She was pregnant and it seemed close to the time of delivery.
Our breaking fasting was pumpkin cocktail. It was complited with rice and squids curry as our dinner. At 19.30 I and Nuri went to Kutoarjo. We stopped by Giant Supermarket to by fruit. We arrived Kutoarjo at 23.15. Lanjutannya...

Rahutama Coming Home
Our breakfast was few. Nuri forgot to make rice but a little amount of previous rice were still available. It was enoug for the breakfast. The meal was completed with vegetable and dry fried (kering) tempe and peanuts.
In the morning Nuri went to the hospital. She helped Mbak Yet to check out from the hospital. In the afternoon I gardened. It seemed that rain would fall but I still watered frontyard.
Before maghrib I, accompanied by Nuri, went to DP Mall Makarizo Salon to cut my hair. We broke our fasting there by drinking a glass of sweet tea. On the way home we stopped by Simpanglima area to buy pecel and gudeg. Pecel became our dinner while gudeg will become our early breakfast. Anindya's First Salary
I was at home almost the whole day. In the morning I and Nuri did not miss to have the early breakfast. As usual Anindya went to her office then Nuri to the hospital to accompany Mbak Yet. I was still at home. About 08.30 Tyas, Ary and Tasinah stopped by home to ask my signature on bunch of monthly financial report documents. They were accompanied by Sobar. At mid day I did Friday Prayer at Masjid Attaqwa closed to home. In the afternoon I did gardening till magrib time was approached.

Meeting with Contractors and Consultants
The early breakfas were attended by me and Nuri. Anindya would not be fasting because of technical reason. Rahutama had been in Cilacap. The breakfast was simple but tasty. It contained rice, tempe (cubic of fermented soy bean) and vegetables. This day was the sixth of Ramadhan.
In the morning till afternoon I was in the office. Nuri dropped me there. There were 2 meetings I had to participate. The first meeting was an evaluation meeting that attended by contractors and consultants. Mr Triwidodo was the chairman although Mr Suryono (the chief in command) also joined. He just gave guidance about the works. This meeting concluded at 12.00. The second meeting was after zuhr prayer. This was a limited meeting because it was designated for only the third echelons. The meeting concluded after ash time. Nuri picked me home.

Sumarwanto's Mourning
My early breakfast was fried chicken bought by Tyas yesterday. It was chilled because I preserved it in the refrigerator. It was still tasty. I added it with steamed broccoli. It was yummy also. For the sweet I ate 2 small cuts of fermented cassava (tape) cake.
I started my officing with rollcall. The most important agenda was meeting with chiefs of servicing units. I warned them for being carefull in backing up their job with administration matters. They had to do accurate works. We had received difficulties from the auditor as the works were careless. After the meeting I and some of the colleagues came to Sumarwanto's house in Kebumen to offer condolences to his family. His son died last night because of a traffic accident. The body had been buried this morning.

Meeting about Conservation
It seemed that my body condition was not good. Despite that I still woke early to make an early breakfast. I then slept again. I came to the office about 10.00. I still had privilege to be off because I was on a duty trip. However I had to be in the office because I had to manage a meeting about conservation monitoring. Professor Djoko Legono had come to present a composing program method named yonmenkaigi. Stakeholders were invited to this meeting. The meeting finished at 13.00 and I continued officing. During this Ramadhan season the office hour were 08.00 to 14.30.

Discussing Writting a Book
We had early breakfast in four because Mbak Poppy joined the group instead of Rahutama. The meal was still simple: gudeg and vegetable soup. At 05.45 I and Anindya accompanied Mbak Poppy to the airport. She would go to Jakarta using Mandala first flight.
Anindya then went to her office. Nuri went to the hospital an hour later. I went to Dinas PSDA office at 09.45 to meet Mr Guntoro. About 30 minutes we discussed writing a book. I came to the office again at 14.00 to discuss the same matter with Mr Guntoro and Mr Suryono.
In the afternoon I did gardening again. Anindya came home at 17.15. Acep came at maghrib time to pick me. On the way to Kutoarjo we stopped at Citra Bundo Restaurant, Candi to have dinner. Rahutama Going to Cilacap
I woke up at the time I wanted. We were only in 3 because Anindya were accompanying her aunt in the hospital. The meal was still simple: rice, steamed mushroom (pepes jamur) and vegetable. As usual I got slept after doing dawn prayer. I woke up again when Nuri were about to the hospital. I finished the work she abandoned, laundrying.
At 13.00 Rahutama prepared all his stuff for going to Cilacap. He would be leaving Semarang for 7 days. He would join a consultant company to collect data there. He had been working in the company for 2 months to fullfil a condition in his course in the Diponegoro University.
Before sunset Nuri went to the hospital again. I was doing gardening on the front yard. I broke my fasting alone. I just drank a glass of sweet tea and a glass of kolak sweet. First of Ramadhan 1430 H
We woke early for having sahur, a very early breakfast we have during Ramadhan season. The meal was so simple. They were rice, fried tofu and steamed mushroom. I slept again after doing dawn prayer.
At the late morning I went to Cito Clinics Laboratory to get my blood test. I put it at Wednesday morning. They promised to get the result ready in the afternoon but I had no time to take it. This was the time to get it. The result was glucose (fasting/after meal) 93/119 mg/dL (good), total cholesterol 219 mg/dL (borderline high), HDL cholesterol 63 mg/dL (optimal), LDL cholesterol 157 mg/dL (borderline high), triglyceride 116 mg/dL (desirable) and cholesterol to HDL cholesterol ratio 3.5 (good).

Going Back to Semarang
I woke up from a good sleep at 05.00. I did dawn prayer and prepared my breakfast. I felt relaxed on waiting for officing. At the office I joined daily rollcall dan after that I made a briefing for the subordinates.
I, accompanied by Acep, went home early because Lik Santo asked me to stop by at Salaman house. I thought there was something important in Salaman but he just gave me 3 pieces of 10 liter premium RON 88 voucher. He got them from an assurance company but he would not use them because his car fuel was pertamax RON 92.
We stopped by again twice. First at Warung Bu Atmo to have lunch and second at Masjid Patal Secang to do Jumat Prayer. On our way to Semarang Nuri told me that mastectomy for Mbak Yet had been done. Unfilled Office
I did not feel good. It seemed that I had to sleep. I forced myself to go officing. The office was uncrowded. Some colleagues were committed to make duty trips. Ktut was to Semarang to handle office maintenance papers. Haryono was also to Semarang for dealing with the inspector. Sukadi asked permission to run his role in his school committee. I and few colleagues still stayed in the office.

In the morning I handle several matters. I came to Cito Lab to give my fasting blood sample. I wanted to check my blood glucose and cholesterol levels. Then accompanied by Rahutama I came to Indosat Grinata to pay Starone July invoice, Rp292.346. At the Mandiri ATM I paid Rp706.393 for Mastercard July invoice. I came to Cito Lab again to give after meal blood sample. At the end I renewed my BCA bank book.

Coordination Meeting
This day I had to join a meeting. Acep, in the interlude serving Bu Ari, Bu Retno and Bu Tasinah, picked me up for the Dinas office at 10.45. I came late about 15 minutes because I missinterpreted the invitation. I came to the Dinas office instead of Hotel Kesambi Hijau where the meeting was managed. The meeting was a coordination on data management. It was attended by Mr Agus Suprapto, Mr Guntoro and officials representing kabupaten governments. There were 3 speakers: Mr Agus Suprapto, Mr Agung Suseno and Mr Sigit. After 5 hours the meeting ended at 16.00. Rahutama picked me up home.

Independence Day
This day was Indonesia Independence Day. We as a government organisation managed a ceremony to commemorate the day. I had a role as the inspector and Mardani was the commander. The ceremony was undergoing solemnly. Almost all of the organisation members attended this event. We were proud to be parts of the ceremony. We fell in deep affection. After the ceremony was over we had a cordial breakfast. Soto ayam (a kind of chicken soup) was served. That was all of the officing this day.
In the early morning I just did my fajir salah. I planned to do morning walking but I felt staying at home was the best. After officing Bulik Metty, Sari, Peni and Mahardi came to home. They just stopped by before going back to Jakarta. I and Nuri then accompanied them to the railway station. At 11.00 Taksaka train took Bulik Metty, Sari and Peni away to Jakarta. Mahardi went back to Salaman.

Attending a Wedding Party
I had a good sleep but I still maintained to get up early for fajir salah. Lik Him told me I snoored. I then lied again. We all got breakfast with the yesterday meal. There were so much. We tried to distribute it.
At 09.00 I and Nuri went to the Magelang bus station to drop Peni, Bulik Metty and Sari. Peni would be going to Semarang and Bulik Metty and Sari to Jogjakarta. We were back to Salaman to pack our stuff. Soon we went to Kutoarjo.

Ruwahan Prayer
I missed my fajir salah again. My sleep was so enjoyable. Anindya went to attend an english examination. She was on the way to reach a position in BNI bank.
I and Nuri left for Salaman at 11.00. We passed to a point to another in town to get snacks. About 12.00 we were ready for going. We stopped by at Banaran Café for lunch. We stopped by again in Magelang to get other snacks. At 15.45 we arrived Salaman. The ruwahan prayer was about to begin.
The prayer began at 16.00. About 35 people joined to that event. Adi did not show up because he was sick. A person led the prayer. We call him Kaum. The participants just respelled the speech he resited. The prayer was over at 17.00 made all of us feeling good. Lanjutannya...

Salaman For a While
In the morning I and Nuri went to somewhere around Pasar Kutoarjo. We looked for nasi rames (a package of rice and others) for my breakfast. I came the office late. This day I was not necessary to get the office on time. Nuri had organised a Dharma Wanita meeting. It was a monthly meeting usually organised at Friday the second week.
After Friday Prayer at Masjid Al Arif I and Nuri went to Salaman. There had been a family gathering. There were Lik War, Lik Him, Lik Santo, Bulik Meti, Sari, Peni, Adi and Kanti. I and Nuri then went to Warung Bakmi Pak Broto to have lunch. We also went to Magelang to order snacks. We need them for the Ruwahan Festival.
Before maghrib I, Lik Him and Adi went to Adisutjipto Airport to pick Mahardi up. Mahardi was from Banjarmasin using Mandala RI 353 scheduled to land 19.00. The plane was behind schedule so we left the airport at about 20.30. We stopped by at Borobudur to have dinner. We enjoyed dishes of tongseng jamur.
About 22.00 Anindya told me to have difficulty get her diploma copy. The copy was in the filing cabinet whose key was brought by Nuri. She need the copy to complete her application. So at 23.30 I and Nuri went home. We arrived at 01.30. Lanjutannya...

Before maghrib I, Lik Him and Adi went to Adisutjipto Airport to pick Mahardi up. Mahardi was from Banjarmasin using Mandala RI 353 scheduled to land 19.00. The plane was behind schedule so we left the airport at about 20.30. We stopped by at Borobudur to have dinner. We enjoyed dishes of tongseng jamur.

Meeting Oscar
In the morning Rahutama dropped me at the office. I joined a meeting at 09.00. The participants were come from provincial agencies relating to flood affair, offices of water resources management (both provincial and national agencies) and the office for meteorology, climatology and geophysics. The meeting was discussing flood management for the coming season. The meeting concluded at 12.30. Rahutama picked me home.
On the way home I stopped at BCA Sudirman to update my and Nuri's banking books. I met FX Oscar Harimawan, my childhood friend. We had never met for 35 years. He was doing banking, too. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to chat.
In the afternoon, I and Nuri left for Kutoarjo. Peni was going with us led to Salaman. We stopped by at Banaran Café to have rest. We enjoyed creamy tea and hot chocolate. Auditing
The morning was going to normal. After praying I did a morning walk to Kutoarjo market. I bought a broccoli stalk Rp2.000. It was an element on my breakfast. My breakfast was rice, steamed broccoli stalk and hot coconut milk gravy tempe soup.
Provincial Auditors came to the office. They were in 4 doing their job all workday long. At 16.00 I went back to Semarang. Acep accompanied me. I stopped by in Salaman. Meeting in Kebumen
In the morning there were few activity done. I had no morning walking because I did not feel good. I had oatmeal porridge for my breakfast. At the office I attended routine rollcall. Many employees were present but soon they had gone. We had so many meetings had to attend.
At 09.30 I and Mr Harsoyo from PT Citacontrac were at The Servicing Office for Integrated Permission, Kebumen. We joined a meeting with the office chief and gentlemen from associated agencies. We discussing about providing a Micro Hidro Electric Power Plant in Merden Padureso Kabupaten Kebumen. The bottom line they had no obligation to the project. We left Kebumen at 11.00 after the meeting concluded.

Magelang Tour
I felt little bit better. I did the morning job as usual: praying, preparing and having breakfast. I came late to the office but soon I called subordinates to have my briefing. Then I was ready to go to Semarang for a meeting till Mr Guntoro suggested me to be still at Kutoarjo. Mr Harsoyo would be coming and he suggested me to go with him to Kebumen. I filled my day with going to Magelang. Acep accompanied me. I had kidney bean soup four my lunch. I also came to the place where Rejowinangun Market was. It was just clear and ready to build a new one. I closed my tour by shopping in Giant Supermarket.

Walking on Dam
My health was not so good. I might get cough. Unfortunately, I had to go to Wadaslintang Dam. An event had been organised by colleagues to remember our independent day. So I went there escorted by Acep. Bu Tasinah and her daughter were also with us. We arrived Wadaslintang Dam at 08.15.
On the parking area colleagues, active or retired, had gathered with their family. The committee for remembrance of independence day had organised a jogging across the dam. The dam is only 800 m long but we think it is able to give some sort of joy to us by walking on through. We then gathered again on the parking area to distribute prizes, singing and having lunch. I guessed all participant had a good time.

Birthday
My birthday came again. It meaned I was 54 years old. All family members gave me greetings. There was no more thing special. The day was going as usual. We planned to have lunch in a restaurant but when the time came we all liked to stay at home rather than went out.
In the morning till noon television stations had been continuing transmitting the surrounding a house in Kedu Kabupaten Temanggung. The person suspected as Noordin M Top was shot dead at about early morning. The body was then sent to Jakarta. There was no confirmation from the police officers that the body was Noordin M Top. The Police Chief said that he had to do a DNA examination to confirm whose body was.

Back to Semarang
This was the last day in Batam. In the morning I swam in the pool, had breakfast and shopped at Sally and Marina Store. I bought 2 bottles of parfum at Sally (Rp270.000 dan Rp130.000), 2 pieces of Crocodile T-shirt (Rp350.000 dan Rp450.000) and a Phillip Charriol belt (Rp2.100.000). I also visited 永记 (Yongkee) Restaurant to have an early luch after put the stuff at the hotel. I paid Rp33.000 for a bowl of fish soup and a cup of coffee O. Coffee O is a jargon in Batam and the surrounding area means hot sweet coffee without milk.
The afternoon was the trip. I checked out. I did not pay anything because it was the committee's responsibility. At 11.30 a hotel taxi drive me to Hang Nadim Airport. It cost Rp95.000. With a delay about 40 minutes flight GA153 (BTH-CGK scheduled 13.10-14.45)then brought me to Sukarno Hatta Airport. I had time to do ash salah in a musala and enjoy rotiboy (Rp7.500) and a cup of black coffee (Rp20.000)at a counter. A good wifi atmosfeer in the counter had spoiled me much. Finally, with a delay again of about 30 minutes flight GA244 (CGK-SRG scheduled 17.00-18.00)brought me to Ahmad Yani Airport. I checked out from the airport at 18.50. Rahutama picked me home.

Visiting Singapore
This was the time to visit Singapore. After finished my breakfast at 8.30, I and Ananta Bambang went to Singapore. It was our luck, Mr Harry Roekanto managed us to get Harbour Bay, Batu Ampar. The fare to Singapore was Rp198.000. We used a Wave Master ferry to get there at 11.00 or 12.00 local time. By MRT we reached Orchard Road. The fare was S$2.60.
The MRT is amazing. It is on time and efficient. Ticket dispensers are provided at stations. A passenger may get a ticket from it by ticking the destination and inserting coins or bill. He will get a ticket and the change. The change will not more than S$4.00 so if the fare is only S$2.60 then a S$10.00 can not be inserted to the dispenser. We took North East (NE) route to get Dhoby Ghaut from Harbour Front. Dhoby Ghaut Station is an interchange of NE with NS route. The NS route brougth us to Orchard Road.
At Asian Food Mall we had lunch. I took a bowl of mix vegetable noodle, S$4.00. Then we just walked along the road. We did zuhr and asr salah at Masjid Al Falah. At 04.00 we started to be back. We used MRT, the same route but opposite direction, S$2.60. We had an early dinner at the foodcourt of Harbour Front. I had a plate of rice and fish curry. Duriangkang
My first day in Batam was filled with going throughout Batam. The prelude was doing salah. Although I had a good sleep I did not miss my fajr salah. The Pocket Islam had guided me to do so. Breakfast were served at the second floor. At 09.30 Mr. Oslamara picked me up for Batam Center.
In the Batam Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) office I met Wayan Subawa. He officiates as a director. Several minute later Robert Sianipar and Windu Rahardjo joined us. Both are division managers. Wayan, Robert, Windu and me were from ITB Civil Engineering class 1975. We had a small reunion actually. We chatted till noon. We continued chatting in 永记 Restaurant. Windu did not join, Tutu Witular replaced him. Till the end of the afternoon Tutu Witular and Oslamara accompanied me to Duriangkang Resevoir and Water Treatment Plant, and also Barelang Bridge.

Visiting Batam
The handset rang to wake me up at 03.15. I did final preparation for Batam. Rahutama took me to the airport. I and some colleagues left for Batam at 07.30 in flight GA233 (SRG-CGK scheduled 07.35-08.35). We had 2 hour transit in Sukarno Hatta Airport. With a delay of 30 minutes we continued to fly to Batam using GA152 (CGK-BTH scheduled 11.05-12.35). We landed at Hand Nadim Airport, Batam at 13.00. Mr Harry Roekanto drived us (me, Agus Purwadi and Tuti) to Hotel Panorama Regency. We checked our attending in to the committee. I and Agus Purwadi had room 720 to stay. After a rest for a while I and Agus Purwadi went to Yongkee Restaurant to have fish soup and coffee. The restaurant is one of Batam points of interest.
The purpose of going to Batam is to attend a workshop. The workshop is designated to compose an Annual Work Plan (AWP) 2010 worksheet. Agencies of local and provincial governments partisipate to Water Resourced and Irrigation Sector Management Project (WISMP) are invited here. Although I have no plan 2010 I am invited. I came to support the others.

Preparing for Batam
I missed my fajir salah. I woke up late. In the morning I ironed my clothes. Some clothes are not ironed because we missed Mrs Kuswari. She has been in Karyadi Hospital since about 20 days ago. She is undergoing an observation to pinpoint her illness.
In the afternoon I did several tasks. They were going to the immigration office (Kantor Imigrasi Klas I Semarang) to get my passport, changing my tax number card at the tax service office (Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Semarang Barat) and cutting my hair in Duta Pertiwi Mall. In the immigratioan office I met Mr Jufianto. He said kindly that the passport is ok and I might take it from the counter I put the application. In the tax service office a frontliner changed my card with the one. He was so friendly. Finally, at a salon I cut my hair. All of my preparation finished. At Home
All day long I was at home. I woke up at 05.00 and then got slept again after doing the dawn prayer. Nuri went out to accompany Mas Andy to the station. He went back to Bondowoso. I joined members of neighbourhood community to clean a ditch. Mr Parno, Mr Kariyanto and Mr Sumar involved in the work. At last the ditch in front of Mrs Kartono's house got clean. I was still at home for the remaining day.

Manggala Bakti Wanita Tama
It is a building lies in Jalan Adisutjipto Jogjakarta. The building, I guess by the name, is designated to facilitate women activities. However as far as I know it is usually used to organise wedding parties. I have been there for about 3 times. Tonight I and Nuri was there attending a wedding party again.
My day started with fajir salah. Nuri prepared my breakfast. She bought 4 bungkus (wraps) of pecel (a kind of vegetables salad with peanut dressing). We have a bungkus each. We almost have no bore to have it. I have no luch. Many chips of papaya made me full.
I and Nuri left for Jogja at 15.00. Nuri took the drive. There was only a purpose to go there, attending a wedding party. Mr Sudiyanto, Nuri's childhood classmate , was celebrating his son's wedding. At the time we met Mr Setyoso and his wife. They told us that Mr Sudiyanto was an employee of The Provincial Government of Jogjakarta. He is a division chief in Maritim and Fishing Authority.
